The Gra-Vue XIO 9020ENC-4AUD SD-SDI to Dual Composite Video & Audio Converter is a modular converter card designed to be used in either the XIO 1U or 3U Modular Platform Chassis (sold separately). It converts a single SDI signal (625i 50 and 525i 60 format) to 2 analog composite video signals and also outputs one SDI loop signal. In addition, 2 analog audio stereo signals are extracted from the SDI input. This de-embedded audio can be selected through a DIP switch and used as input for crossing output, mixing output, and other similar applications.

The XIO 9020ENC-4AUD Converter provides automatic signal equalization for long cable applications (up to 656’ over a Belden 1694A cable). This improves the signal quality and reduces signal loss caused due to long distance transmission of the input source. The LED lights on the module indicate the status of input signal and power supply, to let you know the signal and power status immediately. This converter also supports SNMP and can be real-time managed and monitored via the XIO NET Network Management Module (sold separately).

A: I use this device for connecting various computers to my professional video switching systems. Yes, whatever the input is, the output is a stable signal at a number of different standards, including 1080p @29.97.I haven't run across any problems with HDCP blocking my use of the signal.That said, I don't recommend using ANY product to bypass HDCP protocols.YMMV....Good luck!Kevin Lawson

A: 1st, your Payload: BMD ATEM by default is 1080i / 59.94; Delivery: SMPTE Level B. Your Decimator MD-HX, those are configured by default as Output Converters. Install the Decimator control Panel to configure (Decimator)as an Input Converter. It will do what you want.The DAC-70s are SMPTE Level A. At 1080i / 59.94, they will work as long as the Payload remains 1080i / 59.94. Delivery: SMPTE Level A or B, does not matter at that rate. We use both DAC-70's & Decimators, among other Converters, with our BMD ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K Video Switch. Hope that helps!

A: This may not work for getting the HDMI video out of the Apple Mac in to a Blackmagie ATEM switcher. This is a converter only, where as the DAC-70 is an Up, Down, Cross Converter. The DAC-70 having the ability to convert frame rates and resolutions is what makes it such a powerful tool and a great choice for getting signals in to a Blackmagic ATEM that under normal circumstances will not work.
