A: The one I recieved doesn't have grease there. I don't know if it's supposed to or not. That doesn't sound normal but I can't say for sure. As far as performance, the YN 685 is a great flash for the price. If the grease issue is a significant problem I would contact B&H, they have great customer service.

Q: 6. The YN685N specs say that it has 7 channels and 6 groups. However: 1. on mine only groups A,B andC are shown 2.the 622TX only shows groups A,B and C. How do I get access to control groups D and E?

A: You only have 6 groups and 16 channels when the flash is in 603 slave mode. Otherwise there are only 3 groups and 7 channels in all other modes that support groups/channels.
