The 62mm Kase KW Revolution ND Kit 62mm Professionalfeatures ND8, ND64, ND1000, and CPL magnetic filters as part of Kase's color-coded KW Revolution filter system. The filters are designed with color-coded filter frames for easy identification and swapping. The ND8 is color-coded blue, the ND64 is yellow, the ND1000 is red, and the CPL is silver. The kit also includes adapter rings, a filter case, and one front lens cap. The KW Revolution system is based on Kase's earlier Wolverine series and is fully backwards compatible with Wolverine filters.

KW Revolution filters are made with shock-resistant and water-resistant optical glass that's durable, easy to clean, and doesn't cause any color cast. In addition to being magnetic, the filters are also front threaded. This is one of the differences between the KW Revolution series and the earlier Wolverine series.

This kit includes both the standard magnetic adapter and the inlaid magnetic adapter supported by the KW Revolution series. The standard one screws onto your lens and lets you magnetically attach the filter to it. But the inlaid adapter works a bit differently. It secures to your lens in a very recessed way. It screws onto the front filter threads very close to the front lens element and nearly hidden within the filter thread area. It hardly leaves any space between the lens and filter. This results in minimized vignetting with wide angle lenses when you attach the filter. The filter snaps onto the adapter magnetically. Up to four filters can be stacked in total, both from this KW Revolution series and from the earlier Wolverine series, and the filters can be freely rotated. Please see more about the inlaid adapter below.

When your KW Revolution filter (or backwards compatible Wolverine filter) is removed from the inlaid adapter, you can leave the adapter on the lens. It will not interfere with attaching the original lens cap to the front of your lens. Similarly, it won't interfere with screwing in regular screw-in filters to the filter threads of the lens.

Besides securing directly to the lens, the inlaid adapter can instead be screwed onto the front threads of regular screw-in filters. The screw-in filter can then be screwed onto your lens, and the inlaid adapter will be on the front of that filter. You can then magnetically attach KW Revolution and Wolverine filters onto the adapter. The benefit of this flexibility is that it allows you to mount the KW Revolution filters on top of regular screw-in filters that you may want at the bottom of your stack.

The inlaid adapter is not compatible with step rings.

There are a few ways to screw in the ultra-slim inlaid adapter. The main way is to first attach it magnetically to one of the included ND filters, and to then screw in both by hand. This allows you to remove the filter or stack additional ones onto it. You can also attach the optional Kase magnetic lens hood.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could this work with the LS300? If so what cable would I need to get this to work with the battery?

A: I am sure it could be made to work. You would need a cable with barrel connectors on both ends. Unfortunately, at this time there is no known cable available for the LanParte VBP-01 Sony V-Mount Battery Pinch to connect to the JVC GY-LS300. I could not find one with either LanParte or JVC. I would then have to recommend that you get a technician experienced in making such cables to create a custom one for you. Camera rental houses often have people who can do this for a fee.

Q: 2. Is the VCT-14 plate included in this kit?

A: No it does not come with VCT-14 plate.

Q: 3. Will these fit a X-T20?

A: The Kase 3-in-1 ND Set for Select FUJIFILM X Camera Bodies (ND8/ND64/ND1000) does not fit the Fuji XT-20 camera.

Q: 4. Does the vitar kit have threads on the outside of it? Would I be able to put a macro focus on then thread the fisheye?

A: The Vivitar 62mm Close Up Macro Lens Kit has 62mm inside threads to allow stacking of the filters for various macro focusing options. Because the 10x filter is slightly convex, it can only be placed on the front of the stack.

Q: 5. Will a 1DX mark ii fit on this rig?

A: This kit will work with 1D body

Q: 6. What is the difference between this set of filters and those specifically made for the Fujifilm 8-16mm f/2.8 lens?

A: Kase 3-in-1 Clip-In ND8, ND64, ND1000 Solid Neutral Density Filter Set for FUJIFILM X-T / X-Pro (3, 6, and 10 Stops) is a camera filter, so any lens that you add to the camera will have the same filter applied. The filter that will go on the Fujifilm 8-16mm f/2.8 lens will only affect that lens. If you change to a different lens that lens filter will not work.

Q: 7. Can I choose to receive a different dummy battery pack that works with a GH4?

A: The kit comes with an E6 dummy battery in the box and can't be swapped. LanParte has one for GH4, but you'll have to talk to B&H sales about having the one for GH4 instead.

Q: 8. Do Kase filters work with Nikon Z lens?

A: The filters you would need would be: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1602142-REG/kase_1128040002_3_filter_set_nd8_nd64_nd1000_f.html Or you could use the filters in question if used in tandem with the FTZ adapter.

Q: 9. Do these fit the E mount version of the sigma 14mm?

A: No but you can use this filter kit for the Sony full frame cameras instead: https://bhpho.to/3CBVYp7

Q: 10. Will the battery pack power a A7S camera?

A: You would need an adapter such as B&H#: WOWC194700 which would convert the battery used within the A7s camera into a D-tap connection in which you could connect onto the D-tap port on the Lanparte V-mount battery plate.

[1.1 lb] I tried one other magnetic filter brand, but it paled in comparison to this set. I did a lot of research before ordering these, and even though I saw a few complaints, they just didn't make sense to me. I'm very happy with these, and the magnets are plenty strong enough, and yet pop on and off with ease. It was worth getting the largest set since it includes all I needed. The workmanship is excellent, and the glass doesn't have any colorcast whatsoever.

I have used screw on filters for years and this is a real improvement. I highly recommend this product.

[1.1 lb] I really like this filter system. My use case is landscape photography, especially with water. I makes it extremely easy to add and stack ND filters to taste for a scene. I can have one set of filters and then magnetic rings and magnetic adapters to use on multiple lenses. I am happy with the purchase.

One negative is the case that comes with it. It has plenty of slots (extras to add more filters), however the closure is not very secure. The closure is magnetic but takes some fiddling to line up, and I do not feel confident in it. Not a show stopper, but certainly something that could be improved on.

[1.1 lb] I finally bit the bullet and purchased a set of filters for my largest diameter lens (112mm for the Nikon Z 14-24 f2.8). This kit works perfectly with the lens. It has an inset magnetic ring that screws into the hood of the Nikon Z 14-24. That hood also fits on the Nikon Z 70-200 f2.8. I bought the 77-112mm Kase magnetic step-up ring in order to use this set of filters with my other lenses.

I like the ease of adding and removing the filters afforded by the magnetic system. I've had zero problems with filters accidentally coming off.

I also like the image quality I get with this set of filters.

[1.1 lb] First time using the Kase magnetic filter system. Used this ND on a trip, and being able to instantly add/remove it from my lens was fantastic. Filter itself worked well without a noticeable color cast. Plan on adding other ND strengths to my kit.

[1.1 lb] I RARELY write reviews on B&H and I'm picking up items biweekly. But I must say I love the ND Kit. The magnet helps make take off the ND filter when I move from outdoors to indoors which is very useful. Also, the cap stay on magnetically too. I variable ND looks great in sunny weather so you can open up the aperture wide and get great bokeh. A great investment. I took them to Niagara Falls and got great footage and pics with my S5IIX.The case is also a great addition. I got them for my sigma 24-70mm art lens. I plan on purchasing a 67mm kit for my Lumix 35mm and 50mm l-mount lens.
