EtherWAN EX46910 8-Port Gigabit PoE RJ45/SFP Switchis a compact hardened unmanaged DIN-rail mounted PoE switch. [30 W] This little box has everything a small network could need. It's a snap to set up, has two fiber ports, and operates in complete silence. Now, if we could just get this (and others like it) made in the USA... 5

[Auto-MDIX/MDI] I am replacing another switch because I constantly had problems causing me to reset the system. Diagnosis, packet storms from IPTV devices. This switch has default packet storm blocking. As needed, I can segment the network by traffics type. So far, it has really helped. 5

[1.4 Mpps] I used four of these to create a distributed network in an office suite for VoIP telephones and data connectivity. Having the SFP slots allowed for a fiber backbone leaving all the copper ports available. Be cautioned, though, that they come with a default IP address that you should change so as not to have any conflicts. 5

[5.76 W] Netgear is my go to for small business networking equipment. The same feature set and quality as the "big guys" but with a simpler GUI interface and more palatable price. This nice little POE switch doesn't disappoint. It has several Netgear Access Points connected to it and with advanced features line VLAN it fits nicely in with my SonicWALL router for a secure network. I'm an IT consultant and I use these products for all my clients. I have yet to be disappointed! 5

[Yes] This POE switch runs cooler than the Ubiquiti 8 port 150w POE switch I swapped it out for. Haven’t heard the fans run at all in this switch. Setup was completed in less than 15 minutes including the firmware upgrade. Very satisfied with this purchase. 5
