This cable is more than adequate for my needs. I use it as an auxiliary power supply off the NRG transformer I use for my Sony DSR-250. The only drawback is that it doesn't use heavy-duty cable. It's simply two-pole, almost zip-cord. I don't know how rugged it will prove to be. 5
