The attractive Yamaha L-200 Furniture Stand for P-225 Piano (Black)is a dedicated furniture stand designed to match the look and feel of the P-225 digital piano. It is ideal for those who want to really play the piano instead of enjoying it casually on a tabletop.

This stand fastens to the instrument to provide stability, proper height, and correct posture when you play. It is also required if adding the optional LP-1, piano-style 3-pedal unit that offers the same features as you would find on a grand piano—including damper (with half-pedaling), soft, and sostenuto pedals.

Q: 4. The White VINYL 500 TTN503 is $100 less than the black one. Is there any difference other than the color?

A: The Yamaha MusicCast VINYL 500 Wireless Two-Speed Stereo Turntable (White), BH # YATTN503WHT, is identical to the Yamaha MusicCast VINYL 500 Wireless Two-Speed Stereo Turntable (Piano Black), BH # YATTN503BL, except for its cosmetic treatment.

Q: 8. What is the best speaker system for this under $500?

Q: 9. What material is stand made of? (plastic? wood?)

A: Laminate covered particle board.

Q: 10. Does this allow saving in 24bit or Hi-Fi format?

A: This turntable features typical analog line or phono outputs, as well as modern hook up options, such as Bluetooth input and wireless output through Yamahas' MusicCast app to their wireless speakers. This is not a USB turntable for digitizing vinyl, so no files are saved. You can connect the RCA outputs to an audio interface, such as the Behringer UFO202 - USB 1.1 Digital Audio Interface, BH #BEUFO202, and digitize your records with software, and make them in a file type of higher resolution than mP3.

[58.25 x 14 x 6"] I purchased this as a replacement for a high-end turntable that was getting quite tired.  This Yamaha unit looks very elegant--much more expensive looking than it costs-- and the sound is great.    The speed consistency is perhaps the best part of the sound--very, very  solid which makes for wonderful bass.  I also wanted to purchase a turntable from a company that has a  reputation for quality at a reasonable price and backs up the customer in the long run.  Consider this:   The price of replacing just the stylus (the needle) for my old high end unit was more than the cost of this entire turntable--which is sort of crazy--unless you are very, very rich.   Oh, and If you need to replace the stylus of the  Yamaha TT-S303,  you can do so at a  reasonable cost.   Another  nice feature is that you can play this turntable through an outboard phono pre-amp or utilize the built in pre-amp--very nice.  Finally, and perhaps most importantly,  my wife thinks it looks great in our living room.

[1] I play piano for hours, so this stand has made a big difference. It's sturdy, even for intense playing, and makes my Casio feel that much more like the real thing. It also looks great no matter where you put it, which is a plus.

[58.25 x 14 x 6"] I splurged for the stunning red version of the PX-S1000 and initially purchased one of those less expensive portable X stands with the thought that I could easily move it around the house or even bring it somewhere.

Not the right move. I'm 6'1 and while sitting, positioning my legs in a way where I could reach the pedal was very awkward and I'd keep hitting my legs against the stand making the piano wobble a bit. The X stand was also large compared to the piano (the PX-S1000 is definitely smaller front-to-back than other pianos) so the rubber ends of the stand were sticking out from the front and back of the piano.

Also the piano is still heavy and I don't see myself ever moving it from it's place in my apartment so I returned the X stand and splurged for this stand instead.

Best decision I could've made. The stand is super-stable, has plenty of room for your legs, and is really aesthetically pleasing, even with the red/black contrast. It fits the dimensions of the piano perfectly and it is still easy to unscrew the stand and piano so each can be moved around the house easily.

Stop hesitating and just pull the trigger!
