Equipped with a smartantenna array, the EAP690E HD automatically selects the optimal antennas to cover all terminal devices via intelligent algorithm-improving performance, lowering interference, and extending coverage for user-heavy scenarios.

Featuring intelligent power backup, the EAP690E HD seamlessly uses PoE++ as a backup power source when its DC power connection is disrupted, delivering a reliable network experience.

The Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform integrates network devices including access points, switches, and routers to provide 100% centralized cloud management and create a highly scalable network that's controlled from a single interface.

Auto Channel Selection and Power Adjustment fine tunes access points in the same network to optimize the overall wireless performance. By adjusting channel settings and transmission power levels, access points are less likely to interfere with each other's Wi-Fi signals.

With Omada Mesh, connect access points without redundant cabling, by wirelessly extending Wi-Fi signal to farther and hard-to-wire areas.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this router work in Canada for Canadian customers?

A: Yes it will work in Canada for Canadian customers.

Q: 2. can i use the tp link deco system to extend this or does deco have it's own router?

A: The TP-Link Archer AXE75 AX5400 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Router, B&H # TPARCHRAXE75, is not compatible with TP-Link Deco Mesh devices. If you have a TP Link Deco Mesh system, you can use other TP-Link Deco Mesh products to extend the range of that mesh network. The TP-Link Archer AXE75 does support TP-Link OneMesh so you could extend its range as a mesh network using other devices that support TP-Link OneMesh.

Q: 3. If I buy two of these will they work point to point or bridge?

A: No, it will not work point to point because this an access point not radio.

Q: 4. Does this model have an evil Setup Genie that interrupts during setup? I love TP-Link routers that don't have that.

A: The TP-Link Archer A6 AC1200 is free of genies or other malignant entities. It does feature a Quick Setup wizard, which can be interacted with via a web portal, but the alignment of the wizard is generally considered to be neutral.

Q: 5. Is this product compatible with TL-PA7017?

A: Yes, the TP-Link TL-WPA7617 is compatible with the TP-Link AV1000 Powerline Ethernet Adapter.

Q: 6. does it include power adapter?

Q: 7. Does it support VLANs?

A: Yes, this TP-Link EAP620 HD V3 AX1800 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Access Point does support VLAN. https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/omada-wifi-ceiling-mount/eap620-hd/#specifications

Q: 8. Can I place this inside a closet facing an outside wall with drywall, fiberglass, plywood and vinyl siding going to pole barn 150' away?

A: I would not recommend mounting the TP-Link CPE510 5 GHz Wireless-N300 Outdoor Access Point in a closet. If you are running Etheret wire to the closet anyway, I recommend that you drill a hole through the wall and mount the Access point on the outside of the building.

Q: 9. Are the small LED lights on the front of the router supposed to be on all the time?

A: The lights on the front of the TP-Link Archer AXE75 AX5400 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Router show operation for: (left to right) power, each radio frequency, internet/WAN connection, ethernet connection to downstream devices, and USB connection to a drive. If you are using all of those connections, all of the lights should remain on.

Q: 10. Does this router offer a VPN?

A: Yes, it supports VPN.

[20 to 30 dBm] I used this to link two buildings together to provide better WiFi coverage. It works well and is good value. Web UI could perhaps be a bit faster to load and easier to use but not a major problem.

[10 to 90%] Easy setup out of the box. Included power-over-ethernet adapter is great for installation options. I have mine sitting on top of a desk. Great range and connectivity for all of my devices including laptops, gaming consoles, and smart home devices.

[7.4 lb] I'm using this access point to cover a one bedroom apartment, about 700sqft or so. I have both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks under the same SSID, and all devices are using 5Ghz as expected. This means bandsteering is working well. No problems with around 10 devices in a small home.

With a fiber internet connection, I get these real-world speeds on an iPhone 12:

- 600-700mbps within line of sight in the same room.
- 500-600mbps on the other side of the wall.
- 400-500mbps everywhere else, such as through kitchen appliances and a wall, or through two walls and glass shower door.

Upload speed in these tests is approx 100mbps slower than download in every category. (e.g. if I'm getting 700mbps download, upload is around 600. If my download is 450, upload is 350.)

I have two minor cons:
- The configuration in the app without a controller is very minimal. Thankfully, I don't need it, but expect to install a controller if you need advanced features. In the iOS app using it as a standalone AP, you can only configure some basic radio power/channel settings, along with SSID.
- It gets relatively hot in use. This is normal for network gear so it's not problematic, but worth mentioning.

I have no issues using this for a small household with multiple devices at the same time. Great performance, no drops. Highly recommended!

[Yes] I had an older model but the speed was constrained so I opted for this one. TP Link products are always easy to install so that was a breeze, the speed is great.

[10 to 90%] Quality and performance at a great price. These units outperform the big boys at a far better price. I installed 4 of these to provide Wi-Fi at our hotel. We can have all guests connected and streaming, with no complaints.

[Internal] Really good access point. Getting over 300 MB/s over the Wi-Fi. Very stable so far.

[10 to 90%] Took out my wifi router, (don't use the service-supplied internal, didn't really need the extra router, and it was ancient-old) and replaced it with this. I'm using it @ home.

We just added 2 new units, equipped with WiFi 6e. Wow - you can't tell if it's plugged into the ethernet cable or WiFi. Once set up, it does a great job & is fully configurable (with the separate controller). MAC Filtering, latest security modes, all work well. Coverage (inside, 2nd floor, pointed down) gives huge full-house, plus full-yard coverage.

Pleased with the change.
