The XIO 9010DEC Composite Video to 4 x SD-SDI Converter Card from Gra-Vue is based on the XIO Modular Platform. It installs into and is powered by either the XIO-1U or XIO-3U Chassis. It converts a single analog composite video signal to 4 identical SDI signals. This converter supports NTSC and PAL standards.

The LED lights on the module indicate the status of input signal and power supply, in order to let the user know the status immediately. This Analog Video to SD-SDI Converter supports SNMP. It can be managed in real-time and monitored by XIO NET, the Network Management Module via Ethernet.

A: I'm afraid this does not support 1600x1200 at 25p. It does support 720p at 50/60 along with 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60.

A: This can delay an HD-SDI Video up to 20 Seconds. You will be able to delay 1080i 50 for that period of time.

A: This input and output will have to match. This product is not a frame rate and standards converter.

Q: 4. Will this product work if you are converting your laptop display via svideo to a splitter that has 6 plasma tv displays?

A: I suppose that would work if you already have a x6 S-Video splitter and 6 plasmas with S-Video inputs. The S-Video will add interlacing which is not always desirable. You don't have VGA inputs on your plasmas? I would rather see your VGA output duplicated via a distribution amp (DA) and then pushed to each display. I would prefer to see an active DA (powered). I originally bought this device to run computer visuals through an analogue SD video mixer. I hope this helps.

Q: 5. I am looking for a unit to covert VHS tapes into a digital format. So I want to go out of my VHS machine directly into a computer via firewire. Will this unit do this - that is what the Canopus ADVC converter does, but it converts the VHS into DV. Will this convert VHS into HD via firewire?

A: There is no firewire on this device. You can input analog AV (yellow, red, white cable) and output an HDMI or S video signal. If you have a device to record these signals this device will help you accomplish your goal. We use the Blackmagic video assist, but there are other, less expensive systems for your application

A: This is not a capture device therefore it can not connect to your computer or interact with any software. Q: 10. I want to take the RCA output of my cameras and pass it through this unit to have upscaled HDMI output. I am trying to extend the useful life of my cameras - which are otherwise excellent!
