Tilta's camera cage is a reliable and secure camera mounting platform, but it does not compromise build quality for flexibility. Five of the cage's six sides carry multiple 1/4-20" accessory threads for accommodating multiple accessories of diverse sizes and shapes, and two cold shoe mounts provide ideal points for rigging microphones, receivers, and more. Additional options include a side-mounted NATO rail and a 3/8"-20 female thread on the bottom of the cage. No additional tools are necessary to affix the cage to your Canon R8, as a magnetic flathead screwdriver is held on the bottom of the cage.

[1x HDMI Clamp] Great camera cage for my R8. Works and fits perfectly. My only issue is that if I want to use a fake battery for my R8, I have to completely remove the camera cage and use it without the cage. It's not a deal breaker for me. Still a fantastic product. 5

[1x HDMI Clamp] There isn't much info that decisively points toward the handful of alternative cages for the Canon R8 being better than the other, but it comes down to ecosystem accessories and where you like your mounting holes to be. I went with the VB99 battery, Snap-on Quick Lock NATO Top Handle, Wooden NATO Side Handle, and Quick Release Arca Swiss Plate for my build and I don't regret any of it. I thought I'd prefer one of the side handles that spin, but after trying the wooden one I definitely don't need it at all. Overall, its a great ecosystem and I would definitely buy it again. 5

[Canon EOS R8] Save money by purchasing the kit rather than the individual pieces over time. I opted for the kit since I knew I'd use the rails at some point. After picking up the Title matte box, I now use this setup 100% of the time on my commercial gigs. Grab a sturdy tripod and a top handle and you're off to the races. Built tight without any wiggle. Durable and feels like it's last for a long time. I would definitely buy another one if I ever pick up another C70. 5
