Electra 88's sound and playability goes beyond generic electric-piano plug-ins and expensive sample libraries. Now you can have the rich three-dimensional tones of a meticulously maintained vintage instrument and its entire signal path at your fingertips. Choose from three tuning conditions: New—with the notes perfectly in tune, Vintage—with the notes slightly detuned, and Worn—for more substantial detuning and notes that rub against each other when chords are played.

With expertly placed dynamic, condenser, ribbon, and tube mics, genuine 1176 compression, studio-grade reverbs, modulation, EQ, and more, you'll discover a palette of analog textures and tones—from warmly familiar to otherworldly—that fit any genre.

From the glorious bark of a perfectly emulated high-powered American tube combo amp to the funky sounds of a vintage Mu-Tron III or Vox wah, Electra 88 gives you jaw-dropping emulations of vintage gear, for electric piano tones that always sit in the mix.

Discover the perfect sound—from deep soul and '70s ballads to righteous jazz/fusion and ambient soundscapes—using Electra 88's presets, curated for instant inspiration and maximum enjoyment.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The interior dimensions of the case are 54 x 15 x 6.0 , right?. My piano is going to be 51.7 x 15.3 x 5.7 (Korg Havian 30). Do you think the case is flexible enough to give an extra 0.3 for the piano to fit?

A: The inside surfaces of the case are cushioned, so I think there'd probably be enough give. The areas with less give are right at the corners, but your keyboard is shorter than the overall length of the case. It's probably worth a try.

Q: 2. OK, another question. Why did my first drive had a formatted capacity of 119.24GB, the second drive ,even though the same drive, only 111.7GB?Could someone please explain that??For me it looks like the first one was actually 128GB, the second only 120GB (both formatted with NTFS, both a single partition)...

A: I think I found the answer. The SSD (119.24GB) seems to be a refurbished as it has a Sticker across the Serial# with a new serial. It also is marked as SATA II while the other is marked as SATA III.@Andy L. : thanks for your response. I have formatted the bigger one externally as one disc and it will be the boot disc as soon as I have split the drive in half to be able to create a Dual Boot system. My data disc resides now where the DVD used to be...

Q: 3. Has anyone tried using this with a continuous LED light source? Spiffy Gear says this product is not meant to be used with continuous light sources, and I'm confused why that might be. I assume it has to do with the device being plastic and not being able to withstand heat, but LED technology has gotten much less hot since this was released..

A: This is mean to to focus the light. Due to the size of the source of light. LED vs the very small flash tubes, it will not work.

Q: 4. Are we sure this is compatible with the iPad Air 4? Will it fit properly?

A: This Universal Folio keyboard case will not work with a 4th Gen iPad Air.

Q: 5. is it possible to make presets from joystick?

A: Presets are from the 9 number keys.

Q: 6. what about latency?

A: My application is transmission of audio from the Denon AVR-2307 while watching TV and listening on Bose Bluetooth headphones. No latency has been observed.

Q: 7. I can mount the bracket from right to left of the camera right.? Since my camera LCD panel swings out to the left.

A: Yes the Fotopro QAL-88 2-in-1 Universal L-Bracket can be placed from left to right or right to left.

Q: 8. Does this drive work in a Laptop other than Mac as well?

A: Yes, this SSD works in a Mac and PC.

Q: 9. Is this the OWC mercury electra pro The one compatible with Atomos Ninja 5?

A: This is the 2.0TB OWC Mercury Electra 6G not the Pro. But it is compatible with the Atomos Ninja 5.

Q: 10. Is this OWC mercury electra pro? The one compatible with Atomos Ninja 5?

A: Yes, the OWC Mercury Electra 6G 2.5" SATA 7mm SSD (2TB) is compatible with the Ninja V.

[Standard] A couple of months ago I bought my first ever keyboard (Yamaha PSR Series 61 key). Never wanted a keyboard before as I cant read sheet music and am not a musician or artist. A couple weeks with my beginner keyboard (using Acid Pro) and soon realized you really do need the full 88 keys. Shopped around a lot before getting the SL88.
The SL88 feels more like the actual Pianos at church (while I am confident our church will continue to use ACTUAL instruments, i.e. Pianos, Organs, etc.. for the remainder of time).
The keyboard feels and plays very nicely after getting used to it.
As a noobie to MIDI controllers I will say the included software is somewhat straight forward, but did have to watch a video on how to get it so sync with the keyboard (so easy really).
Love that it is fully configurable. The gifted synths are very cool if you get them.
Only thing is I would like to have had simple transport controls, as well as a simple button to allow turning off touch sensitivity for certain synths. For this you have to make a profile and switch to it, my old Yamaha just has a button right there to turn touch sensitivity on and off.
Overall love this controller and will be keeping it!

[Download] I bought the M-Audio sustain pedal for my wife along with a Yamaha Portable keyboard. It works really well with it, and a little cheaper than the Yamaha. It has rubber underneath, and a metal pedal bar, so it feels like an expensive pedal. I have some other M-Audio equipment so I'm pretty sure it will last.

[Standard] Needed to move to a full sized keyboard for studio midi work only. Got this recommendation from the folks at B and H and it is truly like playing a regular piano.

[Yes] I love the feel of the keys. Just like what I remember from my piano (still on the mainland, built in 1900, we have no room for it here).

I've only just started exploring its use with my Linux-based software, so I can only state that having the full 88 keys back is WONDERFUL after decades of only 61 keys. A big part of the joy of piano is it covers the entire scale.

Aftertouch works.

I haven't done anything with the three joystick controls.

When I first set it up, I didn't have a USB-A to USB-B cable, so I tried using my MIDI interface, but wasn't able to make that work. I have a history of being flummoxed by old-style MIDI cables, so I may simply have connected it up wrong.

Then I found an appropriate USB cable, plugged it in, and things just worked.

I like the keyboard. I like the fact that it's not loaded up with arranger software, instruments in ROM, or tied to proprietary Windows/MacOS-only applications.

I look forward to playing it a lot!

[Piano/Keyboard] The Hammer 88 is a no frills MIDI controller with a nice weighted action. Construction seems solid. A pretty good buy for the price.

[Piano/Keyboard] A huge step up from the semi-weighted and spring-action keyboards I'm used to. Built solid, with a metal top and some sort of heavy-density material on the bottom, very rigid and hefty. Plastic but not hollow-feeling keys. The action is definitely on the heavy side which I like. The keys don't make a clicky racket like the Keystation 88. Wheels and buttons are good quality, slider is just OK. Mine came with a slight dent in the metal top, apparently a manufacturing defect because the packaging was undamaged and there's no sign of impact. Not a deal breaker in my case and virtually invisible. Firmware update is available and installed easily. Preset editor utility is handy and intuitive. As I knew going in, no pedals or AC adapter are included. Didn't try the software because I have my own. Heavy, 38lbs., and given its weight and lack of onboard sounds, it wouldn't be my first choice for a gigging keyboard. It's more like a digital piano, and if I could make a suggestion to M-Audio, I would like a dedicated digital piano-style stand with integrated pedal option.

[Download] Best Keyboard I have used. I continue to seek out this specific pedal as it is very professional. Most inferior pedals will change the polarity on the keyboard and sustain the sound with you pressing but this is stable. Recommend...
