With PEDAL CRUSH, you can minimize your buyer's remorse by really getting to know what's out there, what your options are, and how different effects might work nicely together. Buy a beautiful and helpful book that you can share with friends and bandmates, and make up the cost in just a few successful purchases rather than expensive failures.

PEDAL CRUSH is written by Kim Bjørn and Scott Harper (of the famed KNOBS series of video tutorials) with help from a team of great advisors, journalists, and editors. Additional texts and content contributions came from Alex Maiolo, Dan Orkin, Peter Fernando, Stefan Fast, Andy Martin, Brian Wampler, Kristoffer Høeg, and others. PEDAL CRUSH is edited by the Atomic Words team of Mike Metlay and Diana Smethurst.

With 376 colorful pages in hardcover format and a Foreword by guitar hero (and pedal fanatic) Steve Vai, this book is a must-have for anyone with a crush on guitar pedals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What are the dimrntions of the filer itself? I need to buya protetive case for the 3 sets. J. Payne

A: The dimensions of the filters are about 3 x 4 inches.

Q: 2. Since the new magnetic pro gels no longer require a magnetic rubber holder, do the metal gobos still require a magnetic holder, or can it be sandwiched between the magnetic pro gel and the mag grip? Also, does the metal hobo/cookie stick to the mag grip by itself? Thanks again, Greg

A: The metal masks are only intended for use with the MagBeam with the wide angle lens. The MagBeam has a holder for the masks built-in. You are not able to use the MagMasks with the old version gel holder and it will not produce any results

Q: 3. Is there a way to connect this to a computer via USB?

A: As the Yamaha MG06X 6-Input Mixer with Built-In Effects does not have built-in USB interface capabilities itself, an external USB interface would need to be implemented in between the mixer and the computer. An example of this type of interface is BH #FOSCARL2I23G Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2x2 USB Audio Interface.

Q: 4. Does this music stand fit the Yamaha DGX 202?

A: No, the Yamaha Music Rest for the PSR E373 is specifically made for only the E373 and is not compatible with other units.

Q: 5. Can the effects be applied to Channels 3/4 and 5/6? Reading the owner's manual, it seems as if they can only be applied to Channels 1 and 2.

A: The built-in effects processor on the Yamaha MG06X can only be engaged on Channels 1 and 2 via the FX buttons located on those channels. The stereo inputs 3/4 and 5/6 do not have this feature available.

Q: 6. how to set up yamaha mg06x with powered speaker for vocalist?

A: The MG06X will feed powered speakers either from the XLR or 1/4 stereo outputs. A mic can be connected to channel 1 or 2 combo input via XLR. Proper level setting for the mic will start with raising the input gain level first, making sure the peak indicator is not solid red. Blinking occasionally is fine. Then raising the channel level to send signal to the stereo bus. (output).

Q: 7. what is the origin of the product?

A: The origin of this product is China.

Q: 8. Is this 110-240V?

A: Based on the manual, this unit is rated at 110-240v.

Q: 9. Can I format the USB ExFat?

A: Yes, the Victrola The Empire Signature 7-in-One Turntable Music System can record files to a USB drive that are compatible with exFAT.

Q: 10. Are the blue a full CTB and the Orange a full CTO?

A: Thank you for the question! The Pro Creative Gels include: 1x each of - Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, and Purple. These are not color correction gels. If you are looking for CTB and CTO please look at the Pro Correction Gels which include: 1x each of - Full CTO, 1/2 CTO, 1/4 CTO, 1/2 Blue, 1/2 Plusgreen, and 3X ND

[9.7888E+12] Dimension C & D from the Waza folks a Roland/Boss is truly Amazing tech and sound enhancement. I loved the Dimension D from the old days, but could never afford it. Now this pedal offers so much more and a cleaner, deeper sound - customizable and for the quality and richness of the sound, also very affordable!

[9.7888E+12] I bought this to replace other non-digital compression and eq pedals. I was not interested in calling up many patches. I try to get a McCartney sound and along with nylon flats on a Hofner this allows me to dial it in. I use the Bassman preamp, para-eq's, graphic eq, dbx 160 and MXR stle compressors. I created 3 different patches, tic tac bass, plinky but full bass and deeper bass. I play with two acoustic guitarists in smaller rooms so I use a small Gallien Krueger amp or a Markbass 12 inch combo. My only complaint is that none of the compression settings have any visuals showing gain reduction so it's all up to my ears. Sound quality is great. I haven't spent much time trying out the other patches but their Markbass patch impressed me on how close it was to a Markbass amp.

[Yes] This is the best effects pedal I've ever had. What struck me immediately was the rich full and low noise sound it produces. The iPad Bluetooth interface is great. I think the best thing to do is check out the Youtube demos to see if this is something you want. It performs all its functions perfectly. If sound quality and low noise are important to you this pedal will not disappoint. The price is worth it IMHO when not only is it so many different effects in one, but that they actually sound better than individual purpose built pedals. The only downside is that you will probably be up late at night having fun experimenting with it a lot, and will want to get a second one - I ended up getting an Eventide Eclipse to go with it.

[Hard] Admittedly, I don't use this for an effects pedal. I bought it to fit my Akai Miniak keyboard and it fits like a glove in this case (the Gator synth case was too small), and the price is reasonable. The case has high-quality canvas-nylon material and heavy-duty zippers, guaranteed to keep your equipment safe. There is also front pocket that will store cables and other accessories.

[Yes] synthesizers. This bag came free with the purchase of the Elektron Analog Rytm, and it has already proven useful to carry and protect that module and others to gigs, rehearsals, and while travelling. Nice to have, and I love that it has a separate compartment for the power supplies or cables.

[376] Well made and has enough space for Line 6 HD500, second expression pedal and cables. You can't go wrong with this bag.
