    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work to extend lenses on a JVC GYHM850?

A: I'm afraid not. This is for 2/3 Bayonet Mounts, the HM850 is a 1/3 mount.

Q: 2. I want to know if my lens which is 105 mm will take this hood The tread is 102 mm the size of lens is 105 mm Its from century optics

A: The Century Precision Optics 0.75x Wide Angle Converter Lens for Panasonic HVX200 (Zoom Through) only fits lenses with a bayonet directly to HVX200 lens. It cannot screw on to a filter thread lens. Here is the one wide conversion lens we have that has a 102mm thread. Century Precision Optics 0.6x HD Wide Angle Adapter

Q: 3. Apparently the clamp mount can unthread from the unit, what is the diameter of the native thread on the adapter?

A: It appears that the non-threaded clamp measures 93mm. If you have a lens that size or have a step up ring from a lens to 93mm, you can clamp on this wide angle adapter. Most likely you will need a step up ring such as the one attached here.

Q: 4. What size filter does it take?

A: Unfortunately this auxiliary lens is not designed to be able to mount any filter on to it.

Q: 5. Can this lens work with the Panasonic DVX200?

A: We're afraid not. This is designed to work with the HVX200, it will not work with the DVX200.

Q: 6. Does this fit on Panasonics new DVX200?

A: This model is not compatible with the DVX200. Most of the 72mm thread lenses from Century will work with the exception of: OHD-75CV-72.

    Q: 7. Can the OHD 16TC fit a Sony Pmw 200?

A: While not specifically listed for the PMW-200, accessories that work with the EX1 tend to work with the PMW-200 as well. This 1.6x Telephoto Converter Lens should work with the PMW-200.

    Q: 8. Is this a 2 diopter (500 mm focal length) lens?

A: This Century Precision Optics AD-5820 +2.0 Achromatic Diopter - 58mm (Screw Mount) is a +2.0 diopter with a 58mm screw mount to attach to the front of a lens with a 58mm thread.

Q: 9. Does it work with my Century Optics 1.6x HD Telephoto Conversion Lens for Panasonic AG-HPX170/AG-HMC150?

A: You are correct, the Century Precision Optics 0VS-TCSS-00 will indeed work with the Century Precision Optics 1.6x HD.

    Q: 10. will this also fit a xf100?

    A: No.

[1x] Holds my nose heavy Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope steady and secure on a table top or bench top. You can tighten small traverse and angle elevation tension screws to eliminate excess play in the mount. Black crackle finish on cast legs. Best lowest cost tripod I've found.

[Weaver] If you are in the market for a small binocular with top-of-the-line performance this, is it.

I have several old binoculars a Meade 7 x 50 porro, a Tasco 10 x 25 and Bushnell 10 X 25 and which like me were getting are old.

A friend recently became interested in bird watching and I did the research.  As I live in the Houston area and at the edges of both the Central and Mississippi migratory bird flyways in the U.S. and live on a large tract of land, I have the opportunity to see a lot of different birds.

As my old Meade was becoming harder to focus, I looked at the current market of ED binoculars and saw the Celestron NatureDX 8 X 42 model.  Like many reviews it is fantastic binocular.  I also decided to replace my small truck binoculars with something better than the Tasco 10 X 25 or the Bushnell and found the Hawk Vantage 8 X 32 model and I ordered it.  I also gave some thought to the Hawke Endurance ED model and almost sent an email to B & H to change out my order but I didn’t.

Upon arriving I did a comparison of the Celestron NatureDX against the Hawke Vantage.  I cannot see the difference between the two.  I can clearly see the difference between the Vantage the Tasco and the Bushnell. So, I drove out to the coast to look at the coastal shore birds.  The Vantage is a very good binocular.  It is lite, well built, easy to focus, very good light and for an eye glasses wearing person like me it has great eye relief.  I don’t see how the Vantage Endurance could be much better.

The Vantage is great binocular.

[Red] I have an Arca-Swiss clamp for my spotting scope so I can use the scope on any of my tripods and not need an additional one when engaged in wildlife photography. The special locking mechism of the Hawke table top tripod allows for firmly locking the Arca-Swiss clamp in place and having no issues with the heavy scope pivoting on the tripod. This is not provided with the other table top tripods that are designed for use with lightweight cameras.

[Horseshoe-Dot] Works fine, but need to be careful about how you install it. Check it with a level.
