A: It comes with a removable desk stand. Otherwise, for other placement, you will need to mount on a stand, using a VESA mount adapter.

A: There was an extra manual in the box just on FreeSync stuff.

Q: 3. Does anyone know if the JVC DT-N17F ProHD Broadcast Monitor has a security lock slot similar to a computer Kensington lock slot? I'll be using this in a open office, and I worry about it walking. Thanks,Pat

A: I've taken a look at mine, and I don't see any such lock slot on the back or sides of the monitor.

Q: 4. what is the advantage of a surveillance monitor over a standard computer monitor?

A: The advantage of having a monitor connected to the recording unit allows you to set up the unit as well as view the cameras in real time. However, if you do not want to have a monitor there full time, you only need one when you will need to review the footage.

A: Yes, it is compatible. You will need an adapter.

Q: 10. I just bought this and I see no menu button, no false color, no zebra, no focus peaking features... am I missing something?

A: The menu button on the JVC DT-N24F ProHD 23.8" Broadcast Studio LCD Monitor is located to the left of the bright picture adjustment knob and to the right of the DISP button. The knob can be pressed to turn on the main menu and rotated to adjust settings or parameters, and pressed to apply the adjustment. [External] We are a homeowners association and use this monitor at our front gate system to review video when needed. It is in a ventilated box with the rest of our surveillance equipment, but it it outside and we are in north central Florida, so it gets very hot in the summer months. This monitor stands up to the extreme heat and continues to give us excellent quality video. We are extremely pleased with this monitor. 5

[1000:1] I bought two of these for a customer's CCTV console use. The monitors appear to be well built. They arrived well packed. Nice crisp image quality. I am using these with Speco quad video processors to present a 4 camera view on each monitor without operator intervention. Inasmuch as I have only had these in service for a couple weeks I can't yet speak to how well they will stand up to long term usage. I am using them on a 24/7 365 day basis. 5
