Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can they be used hand-held?

A: yes

Q: 2. Hope this lights r not generate heat because of LED .is it? and colour temperature should be appropriate for skin tone in video shoot

A: While LED lights in generally give off less physical height than a traditional tungsten fixture, there is some heat that is still given off. As for the color temperature, this model has control over that from 2700 to 5600k. Having said that, you would be able to control how warm or cool the light should look on your talent.

Q: 3. Why is this light with reflector rated less bright than the other Godox light: GVM SD200D? Would removing it's filter help?

A: Yes the GVM Pro SD200B Bi-Color LED Monolight (200W) has a lower output than the GVM SD200D Bi-Color LED Monolight BH #GVMSD200 • MFR #GVM-SD200D. I would not remove the protective glass it would not change much.

Q: 4. Will this work on a Samsung 43" curved screen?

A: The BenQ ScreenBar Monitor LED Light is designed for a flat monitor. It may not be able to mount correctly to a curved screen.

Q: 5. Can 4 additional bulbs be used in the empty sockets pictured?

A: These fixtures can be cascaded so it is possible to add 4 additional lamps in the empty sockets.

Q: 6. HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST?

A: about 2 hours in the full power.

Q: 7. How does this light not flood to spot? Every mole richardson fresnel they have ever made flooded to spot. Product fail.

A: It's not a fresnel, it's the equivalent of a par can. It's well built, color tuneable, dimmable and 900 dollars. Its the equivalent of a 650 watt tungsten fixture. Considering it's back ordered, I would have to say that this product is actually a big hit.

Q: 8. is there a Fresnel lens accessory option for this light?

A: You can use the BH #APF10F with the GVM Pro SD200B Bi-Color LED Monolight (200W) BH #GVPROSD200B.

Q: 9. What are the photometrics of the light? How many foot candles at 6', or 15' at 3200 and 5600?

A: Unfortunately, Mole-Richardson only lists photometrics for the 200W Varimole LED fixture at 10 feet (3 meters). At 3200K, the unit outputs 55 FC (539 Lux) at 10 feet (3 meters), and at 5600K, the unit outputs 67 FC (717 Lux) at 10 feet (3 meters). They do not list measurements at 6 feet or 15 feet.

Q: 10. Is the ALZO Overhead drum light dimmable?

A: Unfortunately, this fixture is not dimmable since it uses self-ballasted fluorescent lamps.

[5.3 lb / 2.4 kg] I found this little gem on B&H and it sure is worth the money! The built in light shows are awesome and I like how well the auto mode follows the beat of EDM. Happy to recommend this party light.

[90] Great lights for medium throws. Really helps us maintain natural colors without washing out. Easy to program, too.

[Black] I''m using this as a digital source for a high end system and find it more than adequate for streaming hi-Rez files. I use an external dac which improves clarity and separation but the internal dac isn't bad either. It isn't as revealing but has a nice low end push and rhythmic snap that makes it fun to listen to.

Something I noticed in connecting to an external dac is the optical output had a significantly better sounding signal, particularly in the mid to high registers. I don't know if if this is on the Bluesound side or my dac, but the difference was not small so worth comparing on your own system.

The bluesound app is a breeze to use and the MQA radio stations sound great.

I was prepared to spend more, but after a few weeks with this I'm not seeing any reason to.

[90] As a DJ, I have purchased lot's of different lighting over the past 15 years and I gotta tell ya, this one hit home. I put it on a rack with some LED par cans and it seemed to know what to do and when to do it. red/green Lasers, turning red globe FX, awesome! Buy this light, you will not regret it!

[Black] I've been lighting with Mole Tungsten for years and keep seeing LEDs show up on set. I test every one I come across but I'm usually very disappointed. After trying the first gen Mole LED single temp and finding them much better, I bought a couple of these 200W Varimole LEDs as a test. I've immediately invested in 400W and 900W lights because these 200W Varimoles are by far the best LEDs I've worked with to date. Color temp runs from 2400-6000K (their spec says 2700-5600K). Brightness is equal to a tweenie (650W). The beam on these is not focusable but it casts a sharp cutable beam. One of the big differences between the Mole and other brands is the build quality. Every other LED I've see looks and feels like a toy or at least not a professional tool. Except Aadyntech which are monsters (but credit due for being early useable LEDs on set and location). The Moles are build very similar to Mole tungsten with heavy duty yokes, cords, switches etc. These are built to be used every day and last. I'm included some pics because Mole doesn't do a good job of showing off these lights. Full disclosure on my bias, I dislike the quality of panel lights and Kino type lights.

[90] Our church has been using off brand low quality led lights for our backline stage lighting the last 7 years. We were using traditional halogen based par 56's and 64's for our FOH facial lighting. We are not a very technical church and we don't do follow spots, color, or scene changes during our services. At the beginning of the year we set out to remove all of our off brand lights and traditional fixtures and replace them with a lower quantity, higher quality fixtures. When it came time to purchase the FOH replacements, the Blizzard Lb-Par RGBW met all the requirements we were looking for. We staggered 2 on each side of our sanctuary over the congregation roughly 20-30' away from the stage and they give just the right wash for our FOH facial lighting. The lights are so much brighter than what we were using that it made our naturally bright sanctuary feel slightly darker. I would highly recommend these lights for anyone needing basic stage washing of light. I know they would look great coming from the backline as well with a color wash.

[5.3 lb / 2.4 kg] I do weddings and corporate events, and I could not be happier with these lights. As far as set-up goes, these could not be easier, as I just place these where ever I want in the room (uplighting, wall/ceiling, centerpiece, whatever), and since they are wireless AND battery, it's super fast and easy. Plus, these things have an incredible amount of light output for their size. The batteries last a LONG time (I have run these over ten hours, and they still had juice left). Build quality is excellent and well worth the money. One small complaint is that one of the black knobs on the yoke section broke (still usable), but I called Blizzard and they sent me TWO replacement knobs just in case I had an issue with one of the other lights (I have 8 of these and I am looking to get more).

[200 W RGBAL COB] This 200W continuous output light is perfect for video recording light setups. That was what i chose it for and so far its been great. The build quality seems good. The quality and color of the lighting is excellent. So far I've been very happy with the results of the videos and portraits that I have shot with this light. Its been a good investment in my gear for sure.
