Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Im wondering if this pack will fit a Canon 5D mkIII with battery grip and L bracket. It would be nice to be able to leave a 24-105 f4 or similar attached. Or if anyone recommends another Mindshift pack. Thanks so much.

A: I have the 5D MKIII with no battery grip and a Canon 1D MkIIN. I imagine that 1DMkIIN would be comparable to your 5DMKIII with grip in height. If you're not carrying a computer in the front, it will close, but it's a bit tight. The 1DMkIIN's hotshoe is over the zippered edge by about 2 inches, but will compress into the front storage area. I can configure the bag for the 5DMkIII with a Canon EF 70-200 f2.8L, hood attached with tripod braket with and inch or two to spare down the length or the 24-105 F4 with hood attached no problem (with room for a couple extra shorter lenses). It's a super comfortable bag, really well designed.

Q: 2. Could I fit a canon 5D, 7D, 11-24 24-70, and a couple other lens's with some remotes/cleaning supplies in this bag? Lens's would be attached to cameras

A: I fit a Sony a6300 with sigma 150-600 contemporary, a couple of smaller lenses and charges etc. but the the interior only being 4.8 inches it may be a tight fit for the two larger canon bodies

Q: 3. Is the outside bottom of the bag coated or sealed in case you set it down on damp or dirty ground?

A: MindShift Gear TrailScape 18L Backpack bottom has the same nylon material as the rest of the bag. If you rest the backpack on the floor the outer surface of the back will get damp. The backpack comes with a rain cover which protects the bag from the elements.

Q: 4. Whats the weight of this bag?

A: The following item weighs 1.7 lbs.

Q: 5. Will a Tamron 150-600mm G2 be able to fit in this bag

A: Yes.

Q: 6. I am looking for a backpack for a 4x5 camera and 3 lenses, plus a 35mm digital. Would all that fit in this pack?

A: No, it will be too small. I would recommend the 26L or the 36L.

Q: 7. What is the weight of this backpack?

A: The Brevite runner camera backpack (Triple Black) comes in at 2lbs.

Q: 8. Is the center divider movable?

A: Yes the MindShift Gear TrailScape 18L Backpack (Charcoal) center divider is movable.

Q: 9. I'm 6'2 with a fairly long torso--would this fit me well or would I be better off with the 26L?

A: I'm 5'2 and I was looking at the 26L for more volume but it was too long for me, the 26L would fit you just fine.

Q: 10. Waist/Hip Belt? Capacity (in liters)?

A: The Brevite Jumper Photo Backpack volume is 18 liters, and would include shoulder straps. It would not have a hip belt.

[Yes] The construction and materials are much better than I expected. It would be considered a rather high quality bag if it were just a normal school bag. As a camera bag, it's not the most durable thing out there, but it's more than enough to carry gear around on vacation days and simple photoshoots.

This backpack is kind of thin, so it's not meant for really bulky gear like FF DSLR kits. Good for mirrorless kits with a body and one or two smaller primes or F4 zooms. The thinness helps it look like a regular backpack, so it's actually a pro.

[Yes] The organization of this backpack is excellent. The side camera access works great and I love that there is a secure pocket in the back for my wallet. The top portion is a great size and shape to hold non-photography essentials and the flap fastener is very secure. I also love that it has a trolley sleeve. The only downside is that the straps are not ergonomic at all and are oddly stiff, so it is best for packing light. I was able to carry my camera and an extra lens with no problem, but I wouldn't want to use it to carry all my gear around all day.

[1.88 lb] My Brevite Jumper Bag arrived today (8/4/22) via BnH. At the time I was still on the fence about ordering but after watching the YouTube video https://youtu.be/bv_6f_utMek I was convinced it was the bag for my needs. I can finally carry my z50 with kit lenses and my Fuji XPro3 with the Xf18mm WR'1.4 and the Xf27mm '2.8 and the most important..... LUNCH! :-)

[Yes] The backpack is small enough to fit under an airplane seat. I was able to fit OM-1 with TC1.4 + 300/f attached, a second camera (E-M1.3), PL200/2.8 (+TC1.4), 14 UL laptop, 10.5 iPad, with all the necessary battery chargers, power adapters, connectors/cables and other small accessories in the pack. It makes a great companion, as a personal item, for a carry-on only trip.

[Universal] Exactly what I was looking for! Light and compact enough for every day (no camera) use , yet fits ALL my equipment when needed.
Nikon Z6ii with grip; Z 24-70 F2.8; AF-S 70-200 F2.8 EL with FTZ adapter attached; flash; Godox Propack - all that fits together!
Highly recommend!

[Zipper] This bag has been really great as my daily carry, which usually consists of an iPad, light camera gear, often times a laptop and even my lunch. The compartments are easy to get into and organize. The shoulder straps might need a little improvement, but nothing to complain about too much. The material is soft and we'll see how that ages over time. Very pleased with it all around and a good price as well.
