A: yes you will be able to use an adapter or swap the USB cable

A: The Elgato Stream Deck XL does not have any inputs to connect cameras. It is not a video switcher. The Stream Deck XL connects to a computer via USB to control other software applications and video switchers that are networked to the computer like the Black Magic Atem Mini Pro models. Two examples with HDMI ports ( Also available with SDI ports) are BH #BLSWATEMMP ( 4 inputs) or B&H # BLATEMME ( 8 inputs)

A: No, the Elgato Stream Deck XL is designed to be connected to a Microsoft Windows or Mac OSX computer.

[0.2] I have two as part of my streaming setup, one to control my wavelink program in a pinch and the other to control OBS settings as well as other programs! The multi action is ESSENTIAL to making streaming an ease! With one button, I can have OBS launch, open up my wave link program, open twitch dashboard, send out a tweet of going live, change my display name on Twitter to LPxDC (STARTING SOON ON STREAM!) and even change the lighting in my room! If that's not power, I don't know what is! 5

[Yes] This is one of the tools in my kit that I wouldn't modify in any way. The only function I would consider adding would be a tilt pin. I personally do not use it tilted and prefer the stability of it being planar. 5

[Black] This is what it is, but it does a great job about what I need, and many repetitive tasks, a time saver, but the downside is that, this thing doesn't have many plugins made for using the knobs, overall, after getting this, I would also get a xl, because the whole eco system are still not with the knob 5

[0.2] I upgraded to the Stream Deck+ after owning the original Stream Deck for years. I use their capture card and keylights as well, so being able to control them all with the knobs is a game changer that feels really nice to use. Due to the knobs there aren't as many buttons but I don't really mind that at all since I use folders. Highly recommend! 5
