A "tiny titan," the 5.5 lb iOptron HEM15 Hybrid GoTo Equatorial Mount with iPolarfrom iOptron HEM15 Hybrid GoTo Equatorial Mount with iPolarcan support an 18 lb telescope optical tube assembly with no need for a counterweight. Utilizing strain wave drive technology for the right ascension movement and backlash-free worm/belt declination drive design, the HEM15 is remarkably lightweight and compact. Its black anodized, all-metal CNC-machined body is built for years of service. The HEM15's electronic friction break and power-down memory allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo slew or continue tracking even after an abrupt power loss (no need to realign and start from the beginning).

The HEM15 mount can be controlled by a computer via ASCOM/Commander for Windows, a third-party INDI driver for macOS, a smartphone/tablet via iOptron Commander Lite or an app like SkySafari. or a Raspberry Pi device via INDI driver.

A: An electronic polar scope is built into the mount and a computer is not required to use it.

A: A computer is not needed to use the iOptron SkyGuider Pro Camera Mount with iPolar. However, it you want to enable precise alignment even if visibility is poor or there is no visible pole star, a Windows PC is required. It will not work on an Apple product.

Q: 4. Do I need special software for southern atmosphere?

A: The iOptron SkyGuider Pro works in both the northern and southern hemispheres. There is no extra software needed.

Q: 8. Planning using this Skyguider Pro camera mount with the Nikon d7500 and D750 with the Tamron 150-600 and other small lens. So with the d7500 a the Tamron lens set at 600mm (which would be 900mm on the cropped sensor), will this track a deep sky object without startrails? How long of an exposure can I go before startrails?

A: For a long lens like the 150-600mm you would see trails at around 10-15 secs.

Q: 9. I need a mount that I can use as a grab and go, a good to and as Ana alt as that I can just slew around with out the computer running. Will this mount do that? If not do you have another recommendation?

[Yes (Built In)] I use the iOptron CEM40 for astrophotography with my 8 Celestron EdgeHD and it is ideal. It is rock solid and far lighter than the alternatives which was very important since I often drive to better viewing locations. I 5

[15 to 65°] Physical setup is a breeze, electronic setup is... different. My old AVX was never a good performer and I repeatedly had to repair its electronics and mechanical interfaces. I have several scopes, from an 80mm f/6 refractor to a 10 Meade SCT and the AVX would only handle and stay relatively accurate withthe lightest of them - visual only. Finally, when the old AVX serial hand controller bit the dust I ordered a replacement and had a 5mo. wait. So , I went with US made and ordered the Losmandy mount. Physical setup is easy. Electronic setup up is way different than the AVX and other Chinese mounts. There is much more capability in the SW controls with the Gemini 2 controller. You don't need to add any interface dongles to tie this mount to a PC for remote control. It works with ASCOM out of the box. And it can carry 55lbs of payload for astrophotography. I wish that I did not have to watch videos for setup and mount-use help, I would rather read a paragraph quickly than sit through 20 minutes of video to get my setup or use questions answered. 5

[Yes] I haven't been able to use the mount yet, and I have set the mount up by updating the drivers, installing a iPolar camera in the mount. Had some problems with the wiring harness for iPolar camera, and I was able to repair the harness and get the iPolar scope working. Waiting for a Pier for the dome to get the mount up and running. I'm installing a Meade SC 12 f/8 OTA on the mount. I have ordered JMI autofocuser, 2 filter wheel, some 2 filters and focusing aid. Thanks for the great support I've received from B&H's staff. 5

[15 to 65°] Ordered and received this mount from B&H a few weeks ago with the goal of learning to do AP, using a Canon DSLR that I already have to begin with. Also ordered a Celestron C8 EdgeHD OTA, which is a nice mate to this mount. The mount is solid as a rock and was easy to use even without a precise polar alignment. It tracks smoothly and runs off a small 150 watt GoLabs battery power station. Wasn't sure whether the mount would accept both Vixen and Losmandy-D-style dovetail bars, but it does. It's a little heavier than I had imagined but I can carry it easily without the OTA attached. So far (and I've only taken a few pics), I'm very pleased with the tracking accuracy and the quiet and vibration-free operation. Will explore its capabilities more shortly, when the snow goes away! 5

[Yes (Built In)] Not much to say, other that it's been great. Opened boxes, assembled, hooked up my gear, no issues so far in the past year. Guiding is under an arc second, which seems to be a thing people say is good , but I'm starting to question the validity of even using that number to rate a mount so it might not matter anyway. Either way, holds my qhy268m, mono filter wheel, WO zenithstar 73, asi120mm guide cam, WO 50mm guide scope, dew heaters, beelink u59 mini pc, and zwo focuser on a WO losmandy plate. A bit on the heavy side, but I'm used to it. 5
