A: Angenieux has been making lenses since 1935 and their lenses are world class outstanding in build and image quality. They are in the same league as Cooke, Zeiss, Panavision, et all. I would say that the Angenieux would be of the same quality as the Cookes over all but the question comes down to what look your production needs. The Cooke look is the beloved one of warmth and easy focus roll-off. It is very complementary for faces. Angenieux is more neutral in color and again an easy focus roll-off. Then there is the big consideration that primes look different than zooms. In the end, while the differences are only apparent to the trained eye, these considerations are what make up the totality of the movie experience. I would say the decision comes down not to whether one lens is good or bad but which lens is right.

A: I do not believe you could without first removing the hooded eye cup and placing the cap over it. I have placed a small dark piece of cloth over and somewhat in mine eyepiece to cut down on the light but not totally close the view finder off. I had also received an idea from some one of placing a piece of dark foam as plumbing pipe foam in the eyecup, but I have never tried that. I usually just place a piece of cloth over it and somewhat inside of the eyecup being careful not to disturb the camera and tripod during the exposure. Hope this helps.

A: I actually bought these to attach to the legs of a very large artificial christmas tree. They make moving the tree out of storage and into the lobby very easy.I drilled a hole through each leg to match the screw location.I went to Home Depot and purchased longer bolts/ nuts, that would be able to go all the way through the casters and legs. then it is a simple mater of tightening up the nuts. If you are going to want them taken off on put back on frequently, I would consider wing nuts.The trickiest part was drilingl through the two side walls of the square legs. It is difficult to drill from one side and to go all the way through to the other& if they don't line up, the bolt will not slide through easily. Carefully mark the hole locations with a Sharpie&then drill one side, and the drill the other hole from the other side. Also make your drill hole larger than the bolt diameter. It won't be an issue and will make it easier to slide the bolt through.
