Fitment will vary by body shape and size, but it is adjustable across a range of larger torsos specifically to address the issue you mention. There is no specific minimum size given by the manufacturer, but given user experiences we could recommend it for persons wearing at least a large US size shirt or larger (e.g. XL, XXL, XXL, etc.). You may also want to wear a sweatshirt (A.K.A. jersey, jumper, etc.) underneath it for additional padding, better fitment, and more comfort. Some users have sewn the straps to be shorter to fit medium-size torsos. Others have added padding by opening the zippers in the pads, removing the internal foam padding, and tracing those included pads on pieces of foam that were subsequently cut out to add to or make new pads to put back inside the (zippered) padding holders. (That’s convenient because adding padding doesn’t require sewing.) While one should be aware that any modification would nullify the warranty, users adding padding and the like have reported being happy with the resulting fit -- especially at this previously unheard-of price level for this type of product.

A: This Support System is designed for CAME-TV stabilizers. It may work with the Glidecam HD4000 as well, however you may need to modify the connection post for a secure fit. If you search through the other Q&A's you will see that other customers have had success with this, but this is a Do It Yourself project. We do not have a specific product to make the HD4000 work with this unit.
