Q: 9. Is there anything else needed to make this functional on theSony FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G E-Mount Lens? Thank you!

A: With the Sony FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G E-Mount Lens, you clamp on the Vaxis VFX 114mm Diopter (+3) and you can shoot right away. Do know, if you set the lens at infinity and add this lens, the focus distance is 1/3 of a meter. You can, of course, move the focus ring to whatever distance possible.

Q: 10. Will this work also to mount the Atlas Tilta lightweight clamp for 114mm and adapt it to 95mm?

A: Yes, if your lens has a 95mm diameter the Vaxis VFX Filter Adapter Ring (95-114mm) would bring it up to 114mm so it could work with the Atlas Lens Co. Atlas X Tilta Lightweight Diopter Clamp model BH #ATAXTLDC.

[2-Point Streak] For the price, gotta love it. Have not noticed color cast, but have not formally tested this against Schneider/Tiffen, etc.

[2-Point Streak] I use this filter with Tilta Mirage Matte Box. 4 stops is perfect for my needs when I shoot outdoors and helps me keep my lens wide open. I highly recommend this Vaxis filter.

[2-Point Streak] I'm very happy with the Tilta Mirage matte box, largely due to the affordable filter options from Vaxis. The IRND filters are more neutral than the variable ND option, and also reduce IR pollution (red tone in shadows). At the affordable prices they are, there is little reason not to own a few IRND filters.

[2-Point Streak] I was hesitant to invest in propriety filters for my Tilta Mirage matte box, but the low price, light weight and performance make them a good value. I just hope Vaxis continues to offer them, as filters can break or get scratched.

The 1/8 filter is very subtle, which may be exactly what you want. It blooms highlights and practical lights in the shot, but doesn't seem to do much for skin tones. I need to shoot more with this one, but I will purchase a 1/4 mist for stronger effect.

I will also invest in a set of the Vaxis IRND filters, as the Mirage's VND filter has a bit of a yellow/green cast. The cast isn't hard to dial out with a custom white balance on set or color work in post, but reviews of the IRND filters indicate they have much less cast to deal with.

The Tilta Mirage is a nice system, and unless someone else produces circular filters for it, the Vaxis filters are the only option. Thankfully, it's a good one.

[2-Point Streak] If you have a Sony or Canon camera with internal ND's, I find this necessary. I constantly find the minimum ND on Sony's VND system too strong. I now carry ND3 for the Mirage, and also a PV size ND3.
