Q: 1. The Mini Moon is pictured with a Watson Pro 14.4V 158Wh Slim Li-Ion Battery, which I know is NOT included. What pair of NP-F type battery is the equivalent of the Watson battery, and am I better off with one (the V-mount battery) or the other (a pair of NP-F batteries)? Thanks!

A: Two Watson NPF975 (or similar) would come closest with 115 watt hrs. That would run the light at full power for 1.9 hours. A 158Wh V mount would run it for 2.6 hrs.

Q: 2. I just received this reflector in the mail, it was difficult to stretch the reflector to attach to the ends of the tubes, normal?

A: Yes, it is tough to attach the fabric/reflector to the frame in the FotodioX Crescent Moon Reflector. That is normal.

Q: 3. Will it work on the Canon 8-64mm T2.4?

A: The Venus Optics Laowa 1.4x Full-Frame Expander (PL to PL) is only intended for use with the Laowa OOOM 25-100mm T2.9. The Canon 8-64mm T2.4 s16 lens would likely not work with it. Even if it could mount, there would be significant vignetting as the adapter is meant for a super 35 lens.

Q: 4. Are the LEDs in the rim or behind the diffuser?

A: The LED in this fixture are forward facing.

Q: 5. What is the output on these. Do you measure as you do studio strobes?

A: LED lights such as this one are measured in lux, which is the output of the light at a particular distance/angle.

Q: 6. is this Venus Optics Laowa 1.4x Full Frame Expander compatible with sigma cine zooms (18-35mm & 50-100m)?

      A: No it is not.

Q: 7. Would this fit on a fotdiox jupiter 18?

A: Unfortunately, grids are model specific.

Q: 8. Can an additional soft box be added or is the light itself soft enough?

A: Unfortunately, this light cannot accept a softbox.

Q: 9. The Mini Moon requires two NP-F batteries to work, and will not work with one of the two battery slots empty. My question is, do the two batteries filling the slots have to be identical? Thanks!

A: No, the two NP-F batteries do not have to be identical. It is possible to use two different size/brand NP-F batteries with the Genaray Mini Moon 11" Bicolor Soft LED light. However, do note that when the smaller of the two batteries runs out of power, the light fixture will stop working, regardless if the larger battery still has a charge.

Q: 10. Would this work with the Atlas Orion?

A: I tis not known if the Venus Optics Laowa 1.4x Full-Frame Expander (PL to PL) works with Atlas Orion Series lenses. One check you can do is use this simple gauge. If the lens' rear element clears this gauge, it is likely the lens will work. Only testing will tell for sure.

[50 Hz] While there are many other more expensive units with higher resolution on market, this unit is just what you need to locate and identify game. It will identify game for very far away and depending on the size of the game, you can differentiate deer from hogs at distances of 100 yards or more. I was able to identify wild hogs and deer in swamps, fields and woods very easily. When you turn it on you may think the resolution is not sufficient, but the game show up very well, as well as people. For the price, its hard to beat.

[-5 to +2] Well, I have to start a brief review of my purchase, the Super Hogster. First off it works fantastic in my opinion. Does all that I require in a thermal and more! Still getting used to the difference between thermal and my night vision (PVS14). Both function at what they are supposed to do.
Now for my actual experience with B&H Photo and Bering Optics. Both companies I spoke with over the phone. All were helpful, willing to take time to answer questions and actually cordial on the phone. My experience with both companies was flawless! Received my Super Hogster much faster than I had anticipated. An outstanding experience except for the dent in my wallet. All worth it, all good! Thanks!

[-5 to +2] I have both the AGM StingIR640 & Iray MH25. The AGM overall seems like the better unit, it's lighter, have better manu control and the image quality and screen seems just a bit better. There is an battery extension included that allows you to use 18650 battery and that's a big advantage ! The Iray has an option for a similar extension but it's not provided and cost close to $100 for a small cheap peace of aluminum. Between the two units the screen on Iray appears larger but that's due to the magnification lense, the AGM is a lot closer to true 1x but the screen seems a bit smaller through the optic. The AGM got option for crosshair so you can mount the optic as stand alone thermal sight and that's a huge benefit for me. Overall I think the AGM is a fantastic unit with many useful features.

[640 x 512] Best money I have spent in years. As great as my Zeiss 10x42 binoculars. Unbelievable what all you can see with these. Spot a coon at 1,000 yards. Looks thru woods to spot game. A great piece of equipment and fabulous technology. B & H got them to me quickly.

[16.3 x 12.3°] This is the real deal. No ifs and maybe about it. It gets the job done.
I already owned a AGM Rattler of the same size. It was hard to hold the rifle and scan at the same time and configure the yardage. I hang
the TM-35 on a lanyard around my neck, use it to spot with. Drop the TM-35 and pull the Rattler around with the shoulder sling.
It is a deadly combination. It works further than I can shoot offhand.

[20 mm] I looked at units costing twice this much and am so glad i chose the StingIR. The resolution is amazing and the light weight is remarkable. I'm not much for cliche's but this is a win-win.

[4.47 lb] This is an excellent thermal unit with specific abilities. The protective case is filled with everything you need to mount it to a helmet/head harness, clip to a picatinny or scope on a .556/.223 (or smaller), or to use as hand-held. It includes one CR123A battery and even includes a rechargeable CR18650 battery if you are willing to use an included battery compartment extension tube.

The unit is waterproof, has multiple color settings, an internal compass, and optional reticle. You can purchase an additional flip-away picatinny mount if the included fixed mount is not to your liking. The fixed or flip-away allows for it to be mounted in front of a LPVO for night use, but it does not really work with a holographic sight due to eye-relief distances.

After looking at the pricing and use limitations of dedicated thermal scopes, this device hit the right spot for multi-platform use.
