The flash features a removeable transmitter that comes with the unit. By detaching the transmitter, the flash head can be mounted remotely on a light stand, clamp, or even hand-held. A: LightPix Labs FlashQ M20 with Transmitter with Full Manual Exposure Control should allow for 100 flashes at full power in one set of batteries. At minimum power it should last 2000 flashes. If you are getting less than that I would recommend checking if the battery that you are using has an issue. Batteries should not be depleted when turned off.
