A: It's surprisingly low for such a large-aperture scope. Pointed straight up at zenith, the eyepiece is at eye-height for me, 67 inches. At horizon, the eyepiece only about 20 inches off the ground.

A: I am using the LS-1 with the KIRK replacement foot on my Canon EF 100-400mm L II lens. They work very well together and support my lens at 2 points instead of 1 on a tripod. I find the combination is noticeably more stable than without it. I don't know if you can use this combo on other lenses . You would have to experiment. Kirk makes individual lens supports for specific lenses. For example,they make an LS-2 lens bracket for the new Nikon 200-500mm lens.

A: Depends on the number of hooks you use. A hook every few feet should support the sound blanket without a problem. These are normally used to rout cables along the ceiling.

A: As per the manufacture. The inside diameter off that circle is 1,420mm or approximately 4’ 7-29/32”. The truss itself is 290mm or 11-27/64” in width (hence 2,000 – 290 – 290 = 1,420mm). Please note that as this is a welded product these dimensions may vary slightly.
