Since the talent doesn't see the camera, it is also less intimidating to those who are not used to being in front of a camera, allowing for the capture of better footage.Combined with Teleprompter+ for the iPad and using the iPhone as a remote control, this system provides excellent value and ease-of-use for a beginning teleprompter system. I like being able to edit the script on the fly and not having to have a bunch of wires and extra computers to drag around to different shoot locations. This has definitely helped to up our game for producing quality videos to promote what we do.If you have a smaller camera or DSLR and you want to shoot wide, I'd recommend getting the single-column camera riser piece, Autocue item number MT-SSP/HH, which is not listed as an accessory on B&H's or Autocue's sites at the time of this review, but is shown in the product brochure. I spoke with a sales rep for Autocue about how this should either be included in the kit as shown in the product literature, or at least listed as an available accessory.The rep was responsive, glad to hear the feedback, and mailed a riser to me after saying that he had brought my feedback to the attention of his managers, and that changes were being made. ... a good product makes this easy for me to recommend.

[28.5 lb] This prompter was recommended to me for video podcasting and I have to say it is a terrific product. It's very easy to assemble and take it apart again and it comfortably supports my Sony PMW-300. It's really reliable for everyday usage.

I am very happy I purchased this because it's highly convenient and it's perfectly compatible with my Mini DV camera. The physique of the prompter matches its quality with a carbon fiber chassis that needs no further assembly. I totally recommend this affordable teleprompter; in addition, you get a lot for your money that you save. The screen size is nice and readable and the fact that it comes with a monitor is a plus. Don't frustrate your clients having them trying to read of an iPad. Do yourself a favor and buy this item.

It also works with just about any camera, on the market: from Mini DV cameras to ENG cameras. Another great thing about this teleprompter is the fact that it can be paired with virtually any accessory or other component, such as a beamsplitter, light stand, tripod, etc. also, you can position it without using a riser, which means the camera remains stable while you lower the hood and the pad for more convenient viewing. This teleprompter's LCD monitor features composite inputs, as well as VGA, DVI, and HDMI, making it compatible with pretty much any device ou want to use to read from. The beamsplitter glass features 60/40 positioning, meaning scrolling text can be displayed on the prompter from as far away as 15 to 17 feet. Additionally, it comes with software that's compatible with both Windows and Mac. The prompter chassis is especially durable, made from tough carbon fiber. It's also lightweight and has a sleek design and structure. The chassis actually comes fully assembled and you can easily fold it down flat for convenient storing and/or transporting. I recommend this teleprompter as a good value for the price paid.

[28.5 lb] THe teleprompter is an outstanding device for as professional as possible. I used it many times for TV host and for myself. However, there is one thing I must point out, CARE. You must take care of it and you must be careful when moving it should it not be on a stand of its own. It is awkward and sometimes very heavy. Sometimes there are wires that we forget to tie up, such as myself, and yes it went over to break the reflective glass, I was very lucky, $ replaced the glass. So, have fun use it well and yes, there is a lot of work out there for the teleprompter...
