A: This Desktop Mount is VERY well built with quality materials. It's mostly metal but some of the clamping parts are plastic.I use it in my recording studio with my BenQ 27 LED monitor. (a great buy as well) It easily clamped securely to my tabletop. This particular is only about 3/4 thick but there is enough space on the desk clamp for a much, much thicker table.
