Compact, portable, and fully-adjustable, the Cambo ACTUS-MV View Camera Body with Bellows Mount Kitis compatible with digital backs as well as mirrorless and DSLR camera bodies. Designed to offer all the movements a studio photographer requires, the front and rear standards provide generous and precisely geared movements for rise, fall, and shift application. Additionally, when working with an inclined rail, tilting both the front and rear standards allows you to restore perpendicularity when desired. To position the focus plane, the front standard offers swing and tilt movements in extremely small increments, and a similar mechanism at the rear of the camera body allows for fine focusing. Meanwhile, friction knobs on the left side of the camera can be tightened for unintended camera movements on the rail.

The base configuration of a ACTUS-MV consists of a monorail, front assembly without lensplate, and a rear frame which accepts a camera bayonet holder or digital back frame. Optional bellows can then be added depending on the application.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I put Hasselblad lenses without any adapters?

A: No. The Actus-XCD comes with the appropriate reat standard, monorail, and bellows. In order to attach Hasselblad V series lenses you would need to add the ACB-HA lens board.

Q: 2. Would a Full Frame Canon lens be enough coverage for a super 35/ APS-C sensor size?

A: A Canon lens designed for a full-frame sensor will cover an APS-C size sensor.

Q: 3. With 147mm of travel to focus, I'm thinking that the Nikor W 150mm F5.6 S LF lens is just a tad too long. Is that correct?

A: Unfortunately if you are looking to use a Nikon F mount lens, with an F mount body it is not possible to do so and maintain infinity focus. Doing so would turn the Actus into a strange set of "extension tubes" that would not be a functional solution. I would instead recommend Mamiya RB/RZ lenses and large format lenses 100mm and greater for maximum compatibility.

Q: 4. Which of the following lenses would work with this body. I would use a Nikon D800 camera with it.Rodenstock Grandagon-N 75 mm f/4.5 .Rodenstock Grandagon-N 90 mm f/6.8 Rodenstock Apo-Sironar-S 150 mm f/5.6 Nikon Nikkor-w 210 mm f/5.6Fujinon Compact 300 mm f/8.5??

A: This camera is compatible with a variety of ACTUS-B lensplates.

Q: 5. Does this work with the Nikon D810 ?

A: Yes, this is compatible with the Nikon D810.

Q: 6. I also have Hasselblad X system digital back, Do I simply buy a rear plate for the digital back and I can use the same camera body?

A: This version would be needed for the XCD mount lenses and camera: https://bhpho.to/3ylTJ88

Q: 7. which v-mount lenses is for macro and which one for wideangle photography i have nikon d800e please advice me for lenses and bellows?

A: The standard set of Actus Bellows should be perfect for you and your Nikon when using the Actus with the Hasselblad V lens-plate.

Q: 8. How does this differ from the Actus G? And would this work with the BMPCC6K Pro on the back? Thanks

A: Yes, you may need to be creative regarding mounting it to be sure it'll fit,. But you could use it with with the BMPCC6K Pro, yes. This and the Actus G are substantially the same but the B2 comes with the various camera mounts as currently shown (June 2021) on this webpage. The tilt, rail, and other adjustment abilities are the same.

Q: 9. Will the Canon M6 Mark II work on the Actus-B2?

A: This an EF mount on the ACTUS-B2. While it is possible to adapt for use with an EF-M camera, it has not been tested to our knowledge.

Q: 10. Will this focus to infinity with a Nikon Z body?

A: Yes, the Cambo ACTUS-G View Camera Body with 15mm Lens Kit for Nikon Z will focus to infinity on Nikon Z mount cameras.

[Black] I just love this lens, I use it with my Cambo Actus and Fuji GFX. I do mainly architecture and landscapes and this lens is perfect for it. Look at the first test shot I did.

[Black] Works very well with Fuji X mount. The construction is a mixed bag of very cheap plastic knobs, decent bellows material and good quality metal rails. Be very gentle with it and it will last long. i bought two thanks to B&H for their support and vast catalogue.

[7.655 lb] This bellows has allowed me to transform lenses I already own into high quality, high power macro lenses!

I purchased this bellows to take macro photographs with my current lenses. I primarily use the bellows with a 90mm lens which has manual aperture and focus rings. This allows me to take nearly microscopic photos! Lots of light is required to take good photos with this system, and the depth of field is quite narrow even at f/8, but compared to spending hundreds of dollars on a good quality macro lens I am very happy. There is no aperture or focus pass through, so a lens with manual rings is required. The bellows length adjustment uses a rack and pinion which moves smoothly. The camera body mount and lens mount click in securely with my Sony gear, and the lens is locked in with a little spring loaded pin that you pull to release the lens.

[7.655 lb] I fiddled with tilt shift lenses for some time and was never completely happy with their performance. The Cambo Actus-G (BH# CAAGCBBK) is a much more flexible solution and is only a bit more expensive than some of the tilt-shift lenses. Of course you do need to buy a suitable lens with a large image circle. I'm using this with a Nikon F mount camera and a Mamiya RZ lens adapter. I already had the Mamiya lenses so it was a no brainer. It did take a bit of time to figure out exactly what other items were needed but essentially You'll need 3 other pieces besides the body. The lens plate. I suggest a medium format lens like the Mamiya RB/RZ lenses. BH# CALPMRBRZB, The camera bayonet holder (Cambo AC-78E) BH# CAOBHDSLR and the camera bayonet plate BH# CABKNF. This is a very flexible system and using the bayonet holder (AC-78E) you can get different plates for about $70 so I could add in a mirrorless body just with a new bayonet plate. I don't know if it's by accident or intentionally but the Actus-G molded packaging fits perfectly inside a Pelican 1300 case - BONUS!
This will also focus to infinity so it works fine for architecture as well as tilting or swinging the focal plane for product photography.

[7.655 lb] A lot of bang for the buck. It will not work with the lenses from DSLR camera systems unless they have an ability that allows you to manually adjust aperture, otherwise with a regular SLR lens, they work well . Best results are with a 45 to 60mm focal length lens, or longer. At about 50mm focal length, you are focusing at about an inch from the lens, as the image reflects. With the bellows retracted a bit, the third image was the result. With a 135mm focal length lens, you are focusing at about 5 to 6 inches with bellows at full extension with a field of view of about 1?? inches to 2 inches. As with all Close up schemas, you lose depth of field, but if you shoot coins, rings/ jewelry, or smale scale models, this is a perfect combination. Once set up, it is pretty much a WYSIWYG with an ISO of 125 or 100. Since the camera is unable to hold the iris open while you are composing, if you stop the lens down after composing, then you can adjust your ISO accordingly to improve depth of field, but you will need to resort to a tripod. The only down side is the measuring scale is that it is glued on rather than etched in the rail. A minor detail unless you require compious complete notes to save time on reproducing results as you are more likely to be advancing or reversing the bellows with the left hand knob rather than analyzing a measuring scale. If the right knob set screw is allowed to drag slightly on the rail, you right hand to operate the camer and the bellows will hold position. If you take this into the field, it is not indestructable, however if the camera and bellows are mounted to a rail and the rail then mounted to a tripod, you should do okay if you are careful and mindful of the physics of levers. Also decent lighting of the subject is essential. Relying on the light you can constantly throw on the stage will give you the most predictable results without undue shadows or nasty surprises.

[7.655 lb] Absolutely love this piece of Cambo equipment... They've gone through this design from top to bottom and have created a platform that is essentially a genius solution to having the ultimate digital view camera for those of us who require such a technical approach to creating images. The build quality and precision are top notch - everything feels very well machined and well assembled. The multiple lens plates for lens manufactures such as Mamiya, Pentax, Hasselblad, Leica and their very own Actar series of lenses allows you to have many options when it comes to lenses.

At first, this system can be confusing with what lenses will work with what body or digital back, but once you get familiar with their lens chart, it starts to make sense as to what can be used. The lens chart, listed below, gives all the data necessary to make informed decisions. I will say, with Pentax 645 glass, the latest HD DFA lenses are made specifically for Pentax's digital medium format bodies, which require a much smaller image circle than Pentax's 645 film format. So the A and FA Pentax lenses are a better option if you require shifting/rise/fall movements.

All in all, I would highly recommend this system. If you need rear standard movements, Cambo has even more in depth models known as the Actus MV and Actus XL, which in my mind seems better suited for studio and product photography. Personally, I use this system for interior design and architectural photography and I must say: it's working better than any T/S lens - and I own and use some phenomenal T/S lenses, i.e., the 19mm, 24mm, 45mm and 85mm PC-e lenses from Nikon; these are outstanding lenses, but the Cambo allows me more freedom of movement, so this is why I made the switch from a pair Nikon D-850 bodies and said T/S lenses. Freedom!!!!! (of movement).
