The Cerametallic woofer is both light and rigid, which is meant to produce exceptional bass response with minimal cone breakup and distortion, for cleaner output that uses less amplifier power.

With an analog preamp design, the original signal path is maintained for a clean, true-to-source sound reproduction. The Class-D stage of the built-in amp maximizes output, sonic detail, and low-end power.

To drastically reduce port noise for a clean, undistorted sound, Klipsch incorporated a proprietary internal construction that features a front-firing Aerofoil slot design. This also allows for greater flexibility in placement.

Out of the box, the RP-1000SW connects to your system via an RCA/LFE input, but wireless convenience is possible with an optional Klipsch WA-2 wireless subwoofer kit. Sold separately, this kit provides complete freedom in subwoofer placement and works to allow a high-resolution connection for optimized bass output.

With the optional WA-2 wireless kit installed, you can also use the built-in RCA input simultaneously across two different systems. So, you can connect your home theater wirelessly, and a 2-channel audio system via RCA. Both systems in the room can then use the RP-1000SW without you having to switch inputs.

A low-pass crossover and variable phase control let you tune the RP-1000SW to your other Klipsch speakers and your home theater room.

To conserve energy and reduce costs, the RP-1000W uses only 0.5W when in standby mode.

The ebony black vinyl finish covers the entire body of the MDF cabinet and provides scratch resistance.

[70 lb] The Klipsch RP-1200SW is the subwoofer to get if your appreciate powerful bass.

This sub replaced my 4-year old SPL-120 and I can tell that Klipsch worked overtime to deliver a high quality unit. This sub creates a much louder sound than previous models by improving components such as its newly designed driver. The RP-1200SW is actually. 6 longer than the previous model due to its added components.

As I use this sub for movies, it has added extra bass you can really feel. It even punches up music as well.

Its 12 woofer makes the great sound possible. Although Klipsch makes 4 models in this series, the 12 one is perfect for a normal-sized home theater.

My only complaint is its pricing--$999 is nearly twice the price of my previous sub. However, at this price Klipsch is attracting only serious audio enthusiast.

If your budget will permit it, the Klipsch RP-1200SW will truly enhance your home theater.

[ (Front-Firing)] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The moment I thought this thing wasn’t working, I was very shocked by the quality. I put on The Incredibles to test the sound and took a shower sometime during the middle of the film. I thought somebody was breaking into my apartment or lightning struck nearby. I crept out of the shower with caution, only to be pleasantly surprised that is was the Flexus Sub 100! Performs best with action and horror films.
