A: Yes, you'll be able to fit the Z9 with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR attached, and and extra body. You'll have to use the top flap, as the camera and lens, won't fit sideway.

[2.285 lb] I have 2 of these packs. They are very lightweight and have plenty of space.

[2.285 lb] This is a solid well-built backpack. I didn't believe it's actually waterproof but have gotten into substantial downpours with it and everything inside was dry. Two water bottle pockets are perfect for smaller water bottles (20 oz or smaller).

Like anything, it wears out - but wears slowly. my only complaint is the lack any chest straps on this model (they appear on the MPB25) -- I ended up buying some separately.

[Tan/Beige] it's well made, very lightweight, and carries very light on the shoulder. I would recommend it to anyone that carries a laptop or iPad and a few chargers.

[Yes] I really like this backpack. Definitely wanted to go with Pelican, because every product I have gotten of theirs is awesome. Needed a backpack for picking up a few items at the store and taking my lunch to work on the days I take my motorcycle. I like the reflective logo, there is plenty of space, and multiple pockets. The top zip section has a special zipper to seal out rain. B&H got this to me within days of order, always right, always quick, and great prices. Going to get a few of the 35s next.

[Zipper] My main concern was fitting 3 lenses, with hoods, and the camera. I didn't want a big bag but just enough to carry what I wanted. In one pic is a Nikon Z9 with a cage on it, a Nikon Z 135 Plena, Nikon Z 24-70mm, and Nikon Z 14-24, all tucked into the bag, with a little spot for my shutter release. In the top pocket of the bag are the hoods for each of the lenses. There is still a little room for some small items. There is a pouch for a tablet or laptop, but not sure what size will fit since I don't own a laptop.

Will be testing the bag out on my photo trip in October.

[Universal] I searched extensively for a backpack camera bag with a trolley sleeve and that had a sizeable compartment for non-photography gadgets that is easily accessible and found this one. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality, thoughtful design, and inclusion of a trolley sleeve (most backpacks lack them). It holds its shape, is attractive, and comes with enough adjustable padded inserts for several small lenses and two milc bodies. Price is very competive too, given the quality of the product. I’m pleased and even own Ona and Billingham bags, so my expectations are pretty high.

[Zipper] A very helpful person at the B&H store in Manhattan helped me pick out this bag to go with the long lens I was purchasing for safari.

It is a very versatile camera bag that has served a real sweet spot for me:
It's big enough to carry long lenses and multiple bodies.
It's durable enough for harsh, wet conditions (using the rain cover).
It's lightweight enough to not add too much bulk to my travels.
It's proportioned properly to serve as an airline carry-on.
It's got lots of storage spaces for small items like spare batteries, cards, wipes, covers, backup drive, plus two side pockets with straps for monopod, tripod, or water bottle.
And it's got comfortable backpack, sternum, and waste straps for versatile carrying.

On safari. I carried 2 bodies, 3 lenses, a monopod and tilt head, with a variety of accessories, plus backup drive and binoculars, all in one bag. It was my carry on luggage for the international flight. On the safari cruisers, I was able to keep multiple bodies handy at my side and ready for shooting under the large zipper flap.

After a month of rough conditions, it still looked like new.

I've since taken in birding, and with less gear in the bag, it's an even easier lightweight carry.

I'm very pleased with this bag.
