Play Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray movies or create your own by utilizing the included CyberLink Media Suite 10 for Windows. This optical drive is compatible with all BDXL Blu-ray media, and M-DISC for long-term storage.

If read errors caused by scratches or fingerprints occur when importing or ripping audio CDs, this function allows for automatic detection of the disc state, adjustment of the read method using an original algorithm, and then re-reading of the disc. This minimizes error data interpolation.

This product features a unique honeycomb structure that increases the rigidity of the housing and minimizes unnecessary vibration. When listening to an audio CD or watching a movie on BD or DVD, this drive commutes airflow generated within the drive by the rotation of the disc, circulating it effectively to reduce temperatures. Temperature increase occurs when the disc is rotated for extended periods or at a high speed.

If the drive does not receive any commands or instructions for operation from the computer for a specified period, the Custom Eco function will reduce the drive's power consumption by stopping the disc from rotating or reducing the disc's rotation speed. Shortening this specified period will make the drive enter the power-saving mode earlier.

An HDCP-compliant display is required for Blu-ray playback; a 1024 x 768 minimum display resolution is supported. Please note, HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) support is required only for playback of high-definition copy-protected content. For such content, the connection between the host and the display device must be made using a compatible DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort cable.

A: Yes, the Pioneer BDR-XS07S will work with a 2016 MacBook Pro when connected via USB-C. Unfortunately we do not carry an AC adapter for this DVD drive, but it will not be necessary when using the drive with anything other than a very old computer - a MacBook Pro from 2016 will provide plenty of power via USB.

A: The Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD 6x Portable USB 3.1 Gen 1 Blu-ray Burner with M-DISC Support is not compatible with IOS devices, so this optical drive would not work with your iPhone. Also looking through our inventory, at this time it doesn't look like we have an optical drive that is compatible with iOS.

A: Like most optical drives for computers, you are allowed up to 5 region code changes before it is locked into the last used region. For flexibility with discs for different regions, consider the Pioneer DV-2042KE Multi-Region / Multi-System DVD Player (BH #PIDV2042KE) which also has NTSC/PAL support (Note: This multi-region player does not convert NTSC/PAL video systems. If you're connecting this to your display via analog cables, your display must either be multi-system or match the system your disc is encoded in. Please refer to the owner's manual for further details).

[Yes] We have a bunch of users who use their burner hours a day. They also have to plug and unplug their burners often to take their burners to a conference room to work. We have used a bunch of different burners and I have found that the slot feed reduces the stress created by a user opening a regular burner. Additionally, this burner has a USB-C connection in the back which means users are not bending the cable a lot when they through their burner in their laptop bag. One last advantage is by the connection on the back being a usb-c plug, we are able to buy usb-c to usb-c cables achieve better read speed when transferring large data from a disc to the computer. 5

[Windows ] After being skeptical about it working with Windows 7 I contacted Pioneer & they assured me it would work with Windows 7 which it did... Fast burner at 4x speed for my blu-rays.. I burn at least once a day... Expect it to last at least a year as the other 2 mentioned conked out after 10 months... Warranty expired on them so I had to trash them... 5

[Windows ] I have been using this drive to build my media server. It is extremely fast and made short work of my fairly extensive DVD and Blu-Ray collection. The drive is also compatible with common DVD and Blu-Ray reading software. Absolutely recommend this drive! 5

[4 MB] Installed easily with no issues and works very well. Had it about a month and have used it almost every day. Purchased Blu-ray Player Pro separately to play Blu-Ray discs on the iMac. Works fine. 5

[4 MB] Hello, I have a 2022 M1 Mac Studio Max, so I attached this Pioneer to the Thunderbolt port in the back via a long usb-c to usb-c cable that allowed me to place it on my desk. Natively the M1 Mac will not recognise a Blu-Ray disc, so you have to download the free beta version of makemkv. Once installed load your Blu-Ray in the Pioneer and let makemkv recognise the disc, click on the disc icon and give it a minute, it will then allow you to review the contents, the rest is up to you. On the right side is a Make Mkv button. It works great in about 25 minutes you will have a digital version of your Blu-Ray. It makes a little noise but not bad. If Mkv is not your codec choice you can convert it with other Mac video apps. 5
