Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the power supply of this model is it 100-240VAc?

A: The Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX includes a universal power supply that accepts any voltage ranging from 100 to 240 VAC.

Q: 2. Does this include the power cord to the mixer?

A: The Shure SCM268 utilizes a 3 pin IEC power connection with power cord included.

Q: 3. Does the USB have an auto mix-minus for audio coming from the computer, from something like a Zoom meeting?

A: The Mackie ProFX10v3+ Analog Mixer provides a loopback feature for computer audio coming back into the mixer via USB, which does function similarly to mix-minus. There is mix-minus available for remote callers connecting to an external device like a smartphone or tablet that is paired to the mixer via Bluetooth.

Q: 4. Does this unit have a 3.5mm jack for external headphones, or is there a proprietary connector?

A: The CP200D uses a two-prong connector for external headsets.

Q: 5. Can each channel be recorded as a separate track through the USB? Is a specific program or driver required?

A: The Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX only offers 2 inputs and 4 outputs via USB, so that would not provide full multi-track recording. If a full multi-track recording is required, the mixer would need to be paired with an audio interface that provides the needed number of input channels.

Q: 6. Can this mixer connect 6 microphones? If so, how to connect in line 5/6 or line 7/8?

A: No, the Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In Effects has only four mic preamps so it is intended for use with up to four microphones. In order to use the line level input channels (5/6 and 7/8) for microphones, you could use a separate mic preamp like the Rolls MP13 Mini-Mic Preamp (B&H # ROMP13) and connect its 1/4" output to the 1/4" inputs on the mixer. You can either use a 1/4" TS to 1/4" TS cable like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series 1/4" Male to 1/4" Male Instrument Cable- 3' (B&H # KOI3003) to connect to the mono (left) input on the mixer for a mono signal or use a Y-cable like the Hosa Technology Stereo 1/4" Male to 2 Mono 1/4" Male Insert Y-Cable - 3.3' (B&H # HOYCSPM2PM3) to connect to both the left and right inputs 5/6 and/or 7/8 for a stereo signal. As a better option, if you do not already have the ProFX10v3, you may want to consider the Mackie ProFX12v3 12-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX (B&H # MAPROFX12V3) which is the model up from the ProFX10v3. The ProFX12v3 has seven input channels that can be used to connect microphones.

Q: 7. Can you solo tracks on this? Seems like a basic feature. If not which smaller mixers have it?

A: The Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX does not have individual "Solo" switches for each track. This features is implemented in Mackie's ProFXV3 line starting with the slightly larger Mackie ProFX12v3 12-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX (BH #MAPROFX12V3): https://bhpho.to/3C84kGD

Q: 8. Do you need a ham radio license or something different?

A: The Motorola MOTOTRBO CP200d Portable 5W 16-Channel Analog/Digital 2-Way Radio requires a license from the FCC for legal use. For business applications, a "Business Radio Service" license is required. For private use, a "GMRS" (general mobile radio service) license is required.

Q: 9. Would this fully work with Linux? (Linux mint) hoping it might since all the processing is done in device n not software

A: Yes, the Mackie ProFX10v3+ 10-Channel Analog Mixer with Built-In FX, USB Recording, and Bluetooth is compatible with Linux.

Q: 10. if i connect 4 mics, can it allow 2 mics to be 'on' at the same time? (i.e. 2 different talkers), or the 'MaxBus' will strictly limit it to 1 mic at a time only?

A: The Shure SCM410 allows you to connect and use up to four microphones at the same time.

[5] When COVID-19 forced us to hold meetings in our largest auditorium with ample space for social distancing, it also made it mandatory for the public to have the ability to call in for public comment. This Mackie Mixer was just what we needed to integrate multiple conference call phone lines into our existing A/V racks to be able to comply with the new normal.

[PFL] I use all four XLRs for live steams from a small remote set with USB to my laptop for broadcast. Two channels are used for a Shure wireless receiver. One of those channels is for a CVL wireless lavaliere mic. The EQ on the panel results in great voice quality from the CVL. The other receiver channel is a wireless handheld that sounds great with little tweaking. Two channels are used with Shure SM58s. I find that I need more gain with these, but the voice audio quality is not compromised. The Mute buttons on each channel are very handy to mute the moderator and audience mics during a presentation.

[< 80 dBu ] Just got this a few weeks ago and it's been a great addition to my DJ rig. Easy to add multiple microphones. Mute buttons are handy and effective. Adding reverb to the mix takes only a few seconds. Truly happy with this mixer and hope to get several years use out of it.
