A: The G-RAID Shuttle 4 will come with instructions on how to set the unit up. You are either able to download the instructions from the website or with the unit. Technical support from them is very good. The unit comes preconfigured for RAID 5 and that is how I woudl keep it unless you want extra redundancy.

[AC Input] Mounting RAIDS to the Apple M1 has been a real mind bender for me. Lots and lots of time on phone with Apple support and Sandisk. I finally figured out a great work around. Daisy chain it via a drive that works with your M1! That's how to make it mount. I'm going through a TB3 12 G-RAID (which does mount) and using that as the conduit to get the 160TB Shuttle XL to mount. It works!! 5

[AC Input] Extremely well packed and protected for shipping. Plugged in right out of the box and works great! I chose this because it should be a long-lived drive. If one of the hard drives fails or has problems the system alerts you so a new drive can be plugged in without missing a beat. 5
