  • Use the Amount knob for thumping lows, smooth stereo widening, slap delay, EQ carving, and many other processing methods rolled into 12 Mix presets, allowing you to transform the sound of your beats in moments.
  • Use the Beat Intensity control to make quick changes—e.g., to adjust energy levels between your verse and chorus.

  • Carve out the mids, crank the sub, and add shimmer to the highs all at once, straight into a slammed compressor for maximum impact. You can also set the control negative for a tight midrange knock.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does the Milvus compare to the Contax Zeiss 21mm?

A: While also a manual focus lens like a Contax Zeiss Distagon T* 21mm, the Milvus offers an electronically controlled aperture on Canon EOS bodies, improved lens coatings and a weather sealed design.

Q: 2. Will the de-clicked iris work well with the video on my d780, or does it still need to be locked on like f16 for the Nikon CPU not to Fritz out. If it works well I will probably grab this and an 85 for my film making

A: The aperture of the ZEISS Milvus 35mm f/1.4 ZF.2 Lens for Nikon F has a de-click feature specifically for filmmaking applications. To use the manual aperture on the lens, you will need to set this in the camera menu (go to F5 customize command dials, aperture setting and change from sub-command dial to aperture ring).

Q: 3. will the Blackmagic 6K Pro control the electronic aperture?

A: Yes, ZEISS Milvus 21mm f/2.8 ZE Lens for Canon EF has the electronic contacts on thelens mount which would allow Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (Canon EF) to control aperture and other electronic feature on the lens. The focus is the only manual operation that you can not control through the camera.

Q: 4. is this len manual focus?

A: The ZEISS ZF.2 lenses are manual focus, but do provide communication with the camera body via a CPU. This allows for the use of various functions, including the exposure meter, various exposure modes, transfer of meta data and focus confirmation. You can learn more at: a href= http://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/en_de/website/photography/what_makes_the_difference/manual_focusing.html target= _blank http://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/en_de/website/photography/what_makes_the_difference/manual_focusing.html/a anda href= http://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/en_de/website/photography/what_makes_the_difference/camera_mounts/zf2_lenses.html target= _blank http://www.zeiss.com/camera-lenses/en_de/website/photography/what_makes_the_difference/camera_mounts/zf2_lenses.html/a

Q: 5. Are there different versions of this lens?

A: The only difference is what camera mount it sports. Aside from that there are no other different versions of this lens.

Q: 6. Can you let me know which way around the focus rotates on the Otus? Same as the regular Nikon lenses or the same way as the Canon version. Thanks

A: The Nikon F version rotates the same way as Nikon lenses (i.e. the scale reads from infinity on the left to MFD on the right) and the Canon EF version rotates the same way as Canon lenses (i.e. the scale reads from MFD on the left to infinity on the right).

Q: 7. Does it have weather sealing gasket?

A: Yes it does according to the information provided by Zeiss.

Q: 8. Where is this lens made?

A: The Zeiss Milvus 85mm f/1.4 ZE is made in Japan.

Q: 9. is it sealed against dust and moisture?

A: I'm sorry - I really don't know. Sorry!

Q: 10. I see aperture ring and numbers in the product image. If this was used on D7200, does the camera recognize the aperture selected on the ring? And how do the 1/3 aperture stops work?

A: The aperture selection on the ZEISS Milvus ZF.2 lenses can be done using the ring on the lens barrel, or via the sub-command dial on the camera. This choice needs to be made in the set-up menu on the camera (refer to the D7200 user manual for more information). When the aperture ring on the lens is chosen, the aperture is changed in 1/2 stop increments. When the aperture is controlled via the camera using the sub-command dial, then the aperture can be controlled in 1/3 stop increments. When using this method, the aperture on the lens should be set to the lowest level until it clicks into place. Otherwise you will see EE readings in the camera menu.

[Download] I think I own everything Spectrasonics has produced in at least the last 10 years. Keyscape is yet another must-have. Everyone on that team does great work. I recently had occasion to visit the studio containing many of the original instruments sampled for this collection, and while that was cool, I'm happier simply having access to this library on my computer. :-)

[1280 x 768] Works well standalone, and also integrates with Omnisphere quite well (nice to have a bunch of new patches for this integration for immediate use). Fantastic acoustic / electric pianos and it's great to have all of the vintage and rate mechanical / bell / tine keys for unique sounds.

[720 MB ] I've been waiting for a while to buy this addition to my Spectrasonics collection and must say this is worth the purchase...the sounds are so great that I'll practice playing the piano and adding it to my productions.

[4 GB] It's worth it for the stunning acoustic and electric pianos alone (each of which would cost far more than this entire collection), but it's really nice for producers to have even more unique sounds of rare and exotic instruments (with bells, tines, and plucked sounds), all with great FX. And as if that's not enough, those of us with Spectrasonics Omnisphere enjoy the integration into that VST with a horde of already crafted patches that meld the two.

[Download] I own many piano libraries as well as a real Steinway B so I was not expecting Keyscape to be as good as it is. I have not had time to explore much beyond the Rhodes and Yamaha C7 sounds but those are excellent and have easily replaced other libraries for me. The sounds work very well in my mixes. It does take a fairly hefty computer with an SSD, however, to run.

[4 GB] The depth of the sounds in this virtual instrument is staggering. It's like going from an SD TV to an OLED 8k HDTV. Very pleased with my purchase especially from B&H. Super fast shipping and the best price I could find online anywhere. Cheers! W. Oliver

[Yes] I'm just getting to know the program, and haven't had enough time with it, but the sound samples are fantastic - just what I was looking for.
