When used with modern digital cameras, the filter softens extreme sharpness and replicates the cinematic qualities of film photography. Part of the Plus+ range, the filter features 20-layers of nano-coating for easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil, and scratches. These layers also provide a higher maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for sharper images, finer colors, and greater depth.

Soften extreme sharpness captured by modern digital cameras and replicate the cinematic qualities of film photography.

20-layer nano-coating provides neutral color balance, reduces lens flare, removes ghosting, and protects against scratches.

The filter is double-threaded for stacking filters or using screw-mount lens caps.

The consciously designed ultra-slim rim avoids vignetting.

It is built with German Schott glass for true light transmittance and supreme image quality.

Q: 9. What is the difference between a Nikon F mount and a G-type mount?

[Magnalium] Trying URTH filter for the first time. Normally use B+W filters, but they are getting way too expensive. I like that URTH packaging is completely recyclable and they have a tree planting initiative when you purchase any of their products. Using the filter on a Nikon zoom 24-120mm lens. So far too good!

[Magnalium] It's well constructed and durable. I use it frequently when shooting outdoors. I would recommend purchasing a 39mm stack cap to protect this and any other 39mm filters.

[Glass] Not all filters are created equal. This one has a wonderful antireflection coating and a fine mount. These days, you don't need lots of filters. Splurge on a good one.

[Glass] I've used polarizers of the 77mm to 82mm variety and never had thoughts that a filter affixed to such a small thread would be as effective, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the impact of the 39mm version was as immediately apparent as those of the larger radii. Expensive, but well worth the price of admission!

[0.15 lb] I wish however they made this in larger filter ring sizes.

[39 mm] The Urth 39mm UV Lens Filter (Plus+) is a must-have for any photographer. It provides outstanding clarity and reduces haze without affecting image quality, while also adding a solid layer of protection for my lens. The build quality feels premium, and it’s a perfect fit. Plus, knowing it's sustainably made makes it even better. Highly recommended!

[0.15 lb] It's round and polarizes light. Works like it should.

[Magnalium] The filter fits the lens fine. It performs the polarizing function, deepening blue sky efficiently. I haven't tried it on reducing reflections yet but I would imagine it does a good job on that too.

[Magnalium] Bought this for my Fuji and Voightlander lenses. Works well. A bit pricey but it's B+W quality so I'm okay with that.

[0.15 lb] New to CPLs and Urth, I had a general idea of what to expect: good quality lens that would help reduce reflections and saturate colors. It arrived one day before a trip to a woodsy town a few hours away, and paired with the Fuji XS-10, the TTArtisans 27mm, and Reggie’s Portra, I can verify that this is a killer combo. Not only am a now an Urth fan, but I’m buying the Urth essentials kits (which include the CPL, UV + ND filter) for my other lenses.
