This CAME-TV Boltzen Andromeda MKII RGB LED Tube Light Kitfeatures four 3' MKII RGB LED tubes, each with two-way barndoors, an AC adapter, and a charger. Also included is a two-piece mounting bracket with receiver, eight rubber-coated magnets, a remote control, and a carrying bag for transporting the kit.

The Boltzen Andromeda MKII is a wand-like LED tube with built-in rechargeable batteries, a color temperature of 2000-10,000K, and RGBDT mode for literally millions of custom colors. The tubes have 1/4"-20 female threads on the rear and both ends for mounting, or you can use the strong magnets to attach the fixtures to a metal surface.

Q: 1. Do these lights work with the NP-F975 battery that is a recommended accessory, or do you have to connect to a V-mount battery via the D-Tap cable?

A: They work with either NP-F type or V-mount batteries, or the included AC adapters. The NP-F type battery plugs directly into the back of the light. The V-mount attaches using the included D-tap cable and optional CAME-TV V-Lock Plate with Clamp. I use V-mount batteries because they last a lot longer and the weight is at the bottom of the stand, so it's much more stable. For example the Watson NP-F975 will last around 105 minutes each, whereas my 165 wH V-mount batteries will last 5 hours each. With 2 V-mount batteries for each light, I can leave them on for 10 hours, which means I never have to worry about charging on set. Also with the weight of 2 V-mount batteries at the bottom of each stand, I rarely need to use sandbags.

Q: 2. How many lumens at 5600K? Thank you

A: The CAME-TV Boltzen Cassiopeia C-50 Folding 30" LED Ring Light (RGBDT, 50W) at 5600K is approximately 6000 lumens.

A: It can be controlled with wi-fi but you need to get this dongle, CAME-TV Boltzen Wi-Fi Controller B&H # CABZWIFI MFR # BZ-WIFI. And down load the free app, CAME-TV BOLTZEN LED LIGHT iPhone or Droid.

A: The manufacturer does not have a SSI rating for this affordable, entry level light. It does have a Color Accuracy Standard rating of CRI 94.

Q: 7. What is the watt output of the light ?

A: The Boltzen draws 55 watts. Its equivalent brightness compared to tungsten light will vary based on color temperature selected and angle of beam, but a good rule of thumb is multiply the draw by 4 for a conservative estimate and 5 as the high side . So, between 220 and 275 watts equivalent.

A: You can control light intensity, hue, saturation and timings.

Q: 9. Is there any Snap grid for it? How one controls the spills?

[Wi-Fi] I always use this on my set, from chroma work, interviews, short films. Love how it last a very long time with V-mount batteries. I use Rolux V-mount and works great with it. 5

[Wi-Fi] So far I am loving these lights! They are bright and the color is great. I do wish they came with more of their accessories instead of having to buy them separately, but the lights themselves are solid. 5

[2000 to 10,000K] I use these lights in my studio for video shooting and am very pleased with them. They preform exactly as advertised right out of the box. Powerful, lightweight, adjustable, and economical they grace the top of my adjustable light stands. They are positioned about 20 feet from the talent and have plenty of light throw. Any concerns about the cooing fan noise--forget it. I can barely detect any noise right next to the light let alone from 20 feet away. I searched for over a year for this type of light and can rest now having found these. 5

[Yes] Good power, good throw, good color, and great powering options. This light can be powered off Sony NP batteries, off of D-Tap, or AC Wall power. A very versatile set of lights that can fit in a small backpack. This LED Light has two different versions. A great option from the manufacturer. One has a built in fan and the other has no fan in case you are concerned about fan noise. 5

[Yes] I use these lights as background, back, or fill lights - mostly for corporate talking-head stuff, but I've also used them for product videos, and some structured b-roll. While these certainly aren't the highest quality in terms of robustness and durability (mostly plastic) they are super lightweight, well made, the CRI is great, and they are really user-friendly. I HIGHLY recommend these lights if you're looking for a solid, punchy LED light on a budget. 5

[Yes] I gave this 5 stars based on the light itself. It would be tough using these as a key light. They are bright but with diffusion such as a soft box you lose about 1.5 stops. Without diffusion they are definitely bright enough but it's a hard light. The focusable Fresnel ability works well however there isn't that defined edge you might think. If you use the Tungsten gel you will lose a stop as well. I use these as hair, fill, background lights and they are fantastic for those purposes. The case is a nice touch and make the lights very mobile. I don't use the battery function as I use them in a studio setting. For video they are a great addition to any studio. The lights fit in the case with U-brackets attached. You can purchase a Bowens mount adapter for the lights but I'm not sure the build quality will support the weight for long periods of time. I have the 60 watt version with Bowens mount and it's a load when using a 36" Octobox. If you were to use these for a mobile light set I'm sure you would be happy. They are light and while I'm not sure the build quality is there for attaching modifiers, alone they seem rugged enough to last a long time. If you remove the Fresnel lens the beam pattern widens considerably. It would take two lights to evenly light a large backdrop but for accent lights with gels they are fine. 5
