A: Yes the lens adapter screws into the internal thread at the front of the lens and then the matt box clamps direct onto the 114mm outside.You do not have to use and other form of mount to hold the matt box onto the lens.

A: A split diopter attaches to a standard camera lens to create two different focal planes. The Vaxis VFX 150mm Handheld Split Diopter (+0.5) expands the depth of field so that the immediate foreground and the distant background can both be in focus.

A: Yes the 77 to 114mm ring will work on the 114mm Misfit Kick kit

A: Yes, there is no vignetting when using the Zeiss Milvus 15mm on a mattebox with a full-frame sensor camera.

A: Yes I use this and it works perfectly with the Misfit Atom, actually it's also designed/made by Bright Tangerine (who makes the Misfit Atom).

A: Both the REVO ARCANE Matte Box and the Smallrig model are 114mm. We have not tested the SmallRig Clamp-On Ring Kit on the REVO ARCANE. however they should work.

[Clamp] I use this filter on every exterior night shot, most interior night shots, and most close-ups. My lenses already have a nice soft focus to them, so combined with this, it really gives that nice cinematic touch. I typically just bounce between three filters for everything I do; a VND, a circular polarizer, or this 1/8 Black Mist (All are Vaxis via a Tilta Matte Box). If I had lenses with a sharper focus, I might have jumped to the 1/2, but for my setup, the 1/8 hits to spot without overdoing it. 5

[80 mm] I'm very happy with the Tilta Mirage matte box, largely due to the affordable filter options from Vaxis. The IRND filters are more neutral than the variable ND option, and also reduce IR pollution (red tone in shadows). At the affordable prices they are, there is little reason not to own a few IRND filters. 5

[0.09 lb] If you have a Sony or Canon camera with internal ND's, I find this necessary. I constantly find the minimum ND on Sony's VND system too strong. I now carry ND3 for the Mirage, and also a PV size ND3. 5

[Clamp] I originally bout the variable ND filter for my Tilta Mirage matte box. As with all variable NDs I've tried, there was some noticeble IR pollution (shadows and dark neutrals take on a red cast). I have since invested in 3 of the Vaxis IRND filters, and I'm very happy with the results. I also have 2 strengths of the Vaxis Black Mist filters. These filters are affordable, light weight and obviously a perfect fit for the Mirage matte box. I hope Vaxis continues to make these available in the event that I ever loose or break any of them. 5

[Plastic] I was hesitant to invest in propriety filters for my Tilta Mirage matte box, but the low price, light weight and performance make them a good value. I just hope Vaxis continues to offer them, as filters can break or get scratched. The 1/8 filter is very subtle, which may be exactly what you want. It blooms highlights and practical lights in the shot, but doesn't seem to do much for skin tones. I need to shoot more with this one, but I will purchase a 1/4 mist for stronger effect. I will also invest in a set of the Vaxis IRND filters, as the Mirage's VND filter has a bit of a yellow/green cast. The cast isn't hard to dial out with a custom white balance on set or color work in post, but reviews of the IRND filters indicate they have much less cast to deal with. The Tilta Mirage is a nice system, and unless someone else produces circular filters for it, the Vaxis filters are the only option. Thankfully, it's a good one. 5
