Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will i be able to use this filter with my Canon EF 16-35mm F/4L IS USM ultra wide angle lens and will my auto focus still work with it? Sorry but I'm a true amateur. Thanks

A: If your lens takes a 77m yes you can use this filter and you should not get any issue with the AF using a CPL with a wide angle lens. I have read that you get autofocus and underexpose issues when you use a linear polariser. However I haven't experienced this since i don't use linear polarisers.

Q: 2. Would the lens cap of the Sony RX10 mark 3 fit when using this filter?

A: There seems to be a mix up here with cameras. I do not own the Sony RX10. I have the Sony RX100 IV. Perhaps another Sony RX10 owner will come forward to answer your question.

Q: 3. does this fit olympus 60 mm macro lens?

A: The filter threads on the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens are 46mm. Therefore the Vivitar 46mm UV, Circular Polarizer, and Solid Neutral Density 0.9 Three-Piece Filter Kit will fit perfectly.

Q: 4. This filters works in 16-50 samsung nx500 lenses?

A: Yes, these filters will fit the 16-50mm.

Q: 5. How is this filter different from the Hoya filter kit, which has three filters for $69? This filter alone costs more than that.

A: Thinner profile and most likely different optical glass technology. I am not certain about the glass. I have not used the filter kit.

Q: 6. I apologize in advance for asking! Filters that you sell B+W 77mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M and B+W 58mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M are made in Germany or in China?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is Germany. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 7. What's the best way to clean this filter? I recently tried using Giotto's Professional Multi Optical Cleaning Solution with a Lens Cleaning Tissue and it left hideous streaks/residue on the surface. Nothing I did would get rid of the streaks, and in a panic I simply wet my fingers with some tap water, moistened the surface of the filter and gently used another tissue. Streaks/cleanser residue finally disappeared. So, what's up with that? I certainly didn't expect to have such a problem, especially when I bought the cleaning solution through B&H and it had such great reviews. There wasn't any info on the insert included with the filter that specified anything about cleaning recommendations. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A: I am sorry you have had such a difficult time cleaning this filter off. It is possible that the cleaning solution you purchased may not perform well with the particular coatings used on this filter. I personally use a microfiber cleaning cloth, and Zeiss brand cleaning solution on all of my lenses and filters and other optics. The solution is extremely effective and is safe for all photo optics and optical coatings. Combined with a microfiber cloth Ive never had a filter or lens I could not get clean. See the links below for a recommended microfiber cloth and the Zeiss solution:http://bhpho.to/18RsyxNhttp://bhpho.to/1dmUVGV

Q: 8. Will this filter Vignette image corners on a full frame camera with Canon EF 17-40 f4 L lens?I don't see the thickness in the specs, will 5mm work at 17mm? Thanks.

A: There is a possibility that this filter will vignette on the 17-40mmf/4 L lens. As an alternative, you may want to consider this item, B&H# HOCPSMC77, http://bhpho.to/1f9telF.

Q: 9. Does this filter rotate?

A: Yes, the circular polarizer rotates. it enable you to add contrast to colors outdoors, and remove the majority of unwanted reflections form non-metallic surfaces such as water or windows. Keep in mind that if you have a powerful light source 9such as the sun) in the frame, it will eliminate any polarization effects.

Q: 10. Is there any chance this will fit the Insta 360 Ace Pro 2?

A: No, the PolarPro Circular Polarizer Filter for Select GoPro HERO is not designed for the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 Action Camera, it is designed for select GoPro Hero cameras.

[62mm] I use this filter on a Nikon 200-500 zoom. It's a vast improvement on the bargain filters I used to buy. It's low profile (thin) so I suggest getting a filter wrench for removal. Also, I got a filter pouch for it.

[62mm] The Urth Magnetic Essentials Filter Kit Plus+ (43mm) has quickly become an essential part of my photography kit. The magnetic attachment system is a game-changer—it makes switching filters incredibly fast and hassle-free, especially in changing light conditions where every second counts. The build quality is excellent, and the filters themselves are sharp, delivering clean, true-to-life colors without any noticeable distortion.

The kit includes everything I need, from UV protection to ND filters, which gives me a ton of creative flexibility whether I'm shooting landscapes, portraits, or experimenting with long exposure. The eco-friendly packaging and Urth's commitment to sustainability are big bonuses that align with my values. This filter kit is worth every penny and has already elevated my photography. Highly recommended!

[62mm] This is NOT a cheap filter kit by any stretch, or by any measure. The glass is top notch, and the coating is very good at reducing glare. The caps make the kit easy to store and far more durable to carry. Between the materials/assembly and the performance, these stand up against anything in the price range.

[62mm] I compared this to the B+W high transmission circular polarizer. I prefer the Nikon for several reasons including, stronger apparent effect, thinner, smoother rotation and much lighter weight. Stronger effect is why you buy a polarizer. Thinner glass should reduce spherical aberration from the filter. Smooth rotation makes it feel better. This is a large filter. The B_W was noticeably heavy. The Nikon was surprisingly light, in comparison. The storage cases are different, as well. The Nikon case was slightly smaller.
