[0.5 lb] Using this with the Atomos Shinobi 7 and 3 different Gold mount batteries. Build quality is great and the batteries latch in nicely. Just plug in the cable before sliding the receiver plate onto the back of the monitor.

The 3 batteries I am using with this - Indi Pro Tools Micro-Series 98W,
Core SWX Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh, and an official Anton Bauer Digital Series 90 Gold Mount Battery 87Wh.

[5.5 oz / 155 g] Honestly I just got it and I'm positively shocked at what a great idea this type of rigging is and how well it seeems to take weight. I've got Hytron batteries on it which are INCREDIBLY heavy and while I wouldn't recommend doing it too much just knowing it can take it in a pinch is great. Great build quality. A idea, A execution

[5.5 oz / 155 g] This adapter could be sold by dozens if it was better marketed. It is a fantastic idea for anyone with on set monitors (focus pullers, camera ops, video village) . Worth EVERY penny. Hot swap is the bomb.

[5.5 oz / 155 g] Velcro works, but dual -lock is much more stable. I trust it with objects like a Teredek.

[0.5 lb] I was looking for a small, low profile power system to power my Sony A7Sii, monitor, follow focus and wireless transmitter. I bought this with the Hawk-Woods 98Wh and 150Wh Mini V-Mount batteries. Since the plate comes with 4 built in D-Tap receptacles I am able to have one small but powerful battery source for everything. The plate also takes my full size V-Mount batteries should I need them in.

[0.5 lb] I use this with a MixPre-3 and a hirose-to-d-tap cable.  Works as expected.  Its awesome to be able to power the MixPre off camera battery.  Would buy again.


Only suggestion I have is that if you do use this to power your MixPre, and if you feed a signal back into your camera (i.e. not just record to the MixPre, but also send a scratch track signal from the MixPre to the camera), then you will want to get a ground loop isolator to put in your signal chain.  Otherwise the in-camera scratch track will have interference noise.  (The internal MixPre recording remains pristine.)

[0.5 lb] Even though it seems to be of a design that may fail, I have used it non-stop for two years of Production Sound for double system film sound recording and it has worked perfectly. I actually bought two of them in case one failed, but so far I have only used one. It is much better than the one made by Sound Devices, because it has a lower profile when fitted with an XL-B3 battery pack. A professional will pay attention to what they are doing when inserting and removing this, and will never have problems!

[0.5 lb] This is NOT Velcro! Its one strip and it sticks to itself when you press the pieces together. The glue on the back is quite strong. The teeth on the strip are deeper than Velcro.

The material is very stiff, suitable for holding items of moderate weight. If you want to hold light wires together, use something else.

I will probably want more of this.
