This 50" x 170' roll of Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper 50" x 170' Rollby Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper 50" x 170' Rollis part of a new era in the printing of high-quality glossy digital images. Pearl-like crystals give silver halide color prints a specific luster, creating a distinctive pearl-like appearance. Pearl paper was designed to meet the growing, diverse demands for commercial prints and enables photographers to expand their customer print options.

Pearl paper contains a very special component: pearly mica crystals. Based on the natural mica, they are covered with a thin layer of metal oxides, for example, titanium dioxide. Through an interplay of transparency, refraction, coating, and multiple reflections, one can discern silver-white and metallic reflection effects. These lend pictures an intense warmth and depth.

Q: 1. Will it work with hp designjet T120 inkjet printer Im about to buy?

A: RA-4 chemical process only.

Q: 2. I have an Epson Stylus Pro 9800. Do you know the ICC profile for the Epson Cold Press Natural Archive Paper?

A: Go on Epson website, choose the paper you want, then scroll and find the ICC profile for your printer. Download the ICC profile.

Q: 3. Is there a rebate active for the B&H # EPCPN2450 MFR # S042304?

A: Epson has had rebates at different times but looking at the web site I do not see one active at this time. B&H has been good about identifying rebates and sending emails if I had bought one roll and there would be ones available.

Q: 4. I cannot find an ICC Profile for this paper. I'm printing on Epson 9900, any suggestions?

A: There is no ICC profile made for this paper. As per the manufacturer: A heavyweight coated setting is recommended as a starting point. However, a custom ICC profile is ideal for optimal results .

Q: 5. I've been using this paper for over 5 years but the last two boxes I've bought of this paper haven't been true 11x14 size. A tiny bit bigger which means it doesn't fit in my Delta1 proof holder for doing contact sheets. Has anyone else had this problem? It's really annoying having to trim every sheet a fraction of an inch so it will fit in the holder.

A: The paper I bought on September 9th actually has opposite problem. The sheets are about a 1/16 short. The emulsion number is 887108 A/91. We do most of our contact sheets digitally so we use very little sheet paper, maybe 300 sheets a year, and we just use an over sized piece of acrylic when we are contacting. sorry I couldn't be more help.Keith

Q: 6. Will this fit on the Canon iPF8400SE?

A: Yes it is compatible.

Q: 7. Can I use the Epson Cold press natural textured matte paper on a Epson Workforce Pro WF-4630?

A: The printer uses DURABrite Ultra pigment ink . The paper is designed for UltraChrome, and Archival Ink. You can use it, but the results will not be as good as they would be, with a better printer. The WF-4630 is designed specifically for:Plain paperEpson Bright White PaperEpson Presentation Paper MatteEpson Premium Presentation Paper MatteEpson Premium Presentation Paper Matte Double-sidedEpson Premium Photo Paper GlossyEpson Ultra Premium Photo Paper GlossyEpson Premium Photo Paper Semi-gloss

Q: 8. Does anyone know what Canon printer settings (PROGRAF PRO-1000) to use for this paper? Because they're competitors, there's no ICC profile, but there should be a standard setting that should work.

A: Go on Epsom's site, find out the Media Type and paper profile, the compare with a similar paper that Canon makes. Input those settings and you should be fine. It might be wise to buy a box of 8 1/2 x 11 Cold Press to do test prints on until you dial your settings in. I did that when I printed my portfolio. Best of Luck.

Q: 9. I just noticed it as a matte finish. Do I use the Matte K ink on an epson 3880? I didn't switch fro the gloss K and at first glance the few prints look very fine!

A: The matte papers can be used with either the matte black ink or the photo black ink. The glossy and luster papers are limited to use with the photo black ink.

Q: 10. What is the specific percentage of OBA present in Epson Cold Press Bright paper?

A: Brightness: 96%

[1x Paper Roll] This paper works great for reversals with the right filtration. Nice colours and a good finish. The paper weight isn't very heavy, but it holds up well through the chemistry and washing.

[1x Paper Roll] I am printing in my color darkroom and processing using a HOPE processor. I am thankful that the processing of the paper is precise every time because that takes one variable out of the mix when it comes time to evaluate the performance of the paper and of my printing. This paper is extremely well suited to be printed with today's newest color emulsions from Kodak and Fuji. I can see where some people have noticed a little bit of green in certain areas of the shadows, but I dont think that it is anything that I will be worried about. Once processed and stabilized it is extremely sensitive to varying display conditions. I notice more of an apparent, not actual, shift in density when changing from room to room with different light sources, a 6500k viewing box or even outside in sunlight. Make sure that you are aware of the viewing conditions that you will be showing in before you stop working on the print.

[Glossy] I have tried many different types of analog printing paper and have come to love this brand. I always would highly recommend this type of light sensitive paper for beginners. Only complaint would be I wish they would write boldly that it is light sensitive paper on the box (my husband ended up opening one without realizing so). 10/10
