Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the ball head be removed or is it permanently attached?

A: On the TT-15B model, the ball head cannot be removed. If you want to be able to remove it, I recommend the regular TT-15 with the CB-30D ball head - this is basically what you are looking for.

Q: 2. Can the ballhead be removed and be replaced by a Leitz ballhead?

A: Yes, the ball head can be removed.

Q: 3. Are the leg locks plastic or aluminum?

A: The following unit features aluminum legs.

Q: 4. Where is the bubble level located? Under specs there is 1 bubble level listed?

A: The Bubbly level of the Neewer GM27 Tripod Fluid Head is located just under the position of the Handle on the rear of the head. Image of bubble level on the GM27: https://bit.ly/3NJ9n62

Q: 5. will my canon sx730 fit on the slik mini pro 111 tripod with ball head?

A: Yes, the Canon SX730 will fit on the Slik Mini Pro 111.

Q: 6. Does this come with a quick release plate? If not what can you recommend?

A: The QP-144750 Quick Release Plate is well designed and has bidirectional slots and a lock button that make the mounting/unmounting more secure. The description is misleading where it says "Quick Release Systems not included," so I thought that I needed to add the QP-40 Quick Release Plate at $19.95 which is not as well designed as the included plate. You can compare the two plates if you search the Quick Release Systems accessories for this tripod and order extra QP-144750 plate(s) if you want.

Q: 7. will this work for my canon 5d mark iv with 24-70mm lens? do i need something else or does it screw right into the base of the camera?

A: In most use cases this would be sufficient for a Canon 5D Mk IV with a 24-70 f/2.8 (approximately 3.5lbs), but on an uneven surface or at an angle, the resulting torque from the camera/lens combination might overpower the ballhead. With your specific combination, I would also advise against using the Manfrotto 259B extension as it would result in a very high center of gravity, making it prone to tipping over. The camera simply screws into the Manfrotto 492 ball head, but you could consider a quick release system like the Manfrotto 323 to simplify/speed up the mounting process: https://bhpho.to/39OdhHl

Q: 8. Is this 4.5 or 2.5 pounds? The specs and the overview page list different info

A: The Neewer LT35 LiteTrip Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Panoramic Ball Head weighs 2.49 lb / 1.13 kg.

Q: 9. I'll be taking a Nikon D750 along with the following lenses - Nikon 24-120mm F4, Nikon 70-300mm F4.5/5.6, Nikon 85mm F1.8, and a Nikon 20mm F1.8. I'm sure they'll be no issues with the primes. Any issues using this tripod with either of the zoom lenses?

A: You may have problems with the zooms, as the Mini Pro III is only rated to hold up to 2.75 lbs.

Q: 10. Is this thing sufficiently stable to support a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in a raised position for use as a webcam?

A: Yes, the PGYTECH CapLock MantisPod Z Tripod with Ball-Head could support the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in a raised position. It is recommended to have the camera centered over the tripod for greatest stability.

[Black] I have an A7Rv with some chunky lenses. This tripod handles everything like a champ! I have absolutely no hesitation loading this down with gear.

The Good:
Height!!! This thing goes WAY higher than I need. It's truly laughable; but is still solid.

The Meh:
The ball head works. The is slight sag when you're locking down the angle. But it's no worse (and likely better) than any other tripod with sag issues. I guess if you want to avoid clamping sag, you'll need to spring for a high-end ball head. But the tripod itself is a very decent performer.

The Conclusion:
I think I got this on sale for close to $100 (Maybe $110??). It seems like is constantly on sale.
Around $100, this is a no-brainer. At the listed price of $139, there are a few others that I would consider (3 Legged Things, SmallRig, Benro). I like this Neewer much better than the similar K&F.

It's a good studio-style tripod that's good for anything except long distance hiking. I'm loving it so far.

[2.27 lb] Very robust stand that will put up with a fair amount of weight, I love the spring loaded sections that will not allow the section to have a hard stop. Ideal for holding a backdrop cyclorama.

[2.27 lb] I'm so impressed with this, I will never buy a light-weight, low capacity light-stand again. All parts are made very well on this heavy-duty, steel C-stand. With dual grip-heads, I was able to mount both a light with soft-box and a reflector on an additional extension / reflector-holder arm, all well within capacity. The large rubber grip made it easy to move the whole package. The spring cushion is impressive and nice when you have a large near-capacity package.

[2.27 lb] It does everything I ask it to. It has trouble holding a big lens, and the locking knobs are small so they are a little hard to grip, but those are my only complaints.

[Black] It works great! Light and easy to carry. It has a handle to carry around. Built seems good. A good budget tripod.

[2.27 lb] This was for a vintage tripod I had to repair. (Machined a new bolt and everything....) Works just fine and looks good, too.
This is a surprisingly nice little ball head. It feels well made, and the screw knobs are comfortable to grip. It pans nicely, and the ball locks down firmly. The plate also allows a few cm of slide forward and back. The level on the plate knob is a good idea, going to have to test that on uneven setups eventually.
My ONLY complaint is that the mark for rotation angle is on the back side, for me, if the knobs are on my side of the head. Not worth making a fuss, but it would be better placed on the other side.
Overall, I recommend it.

[Black] A sturdy, lightweight tripod that's tall enough for astrophotography and can be configured to get the camera down low, too. Easily converts to a monopod that's long enough to keep me from straining my back. Nice case, too.
