Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to hook up this mixer to my a/v receiver (Denon AVR-4308CI) which I already connect to speakers? and how? Thanks

A: Yes, the Yamaha MG10XU could be connected to an AV receiver. You could connect the stereo outputs of the MG10XU to one of the receiver's audio inputs with a 1/4" to RCA stereo cable such as BH #HOHPR003X2.

Q: 2. Can I use a dynamic and a condenser mic at the same time? Does it give individual phantom power?

A: The Yamaha Yamaha MG10XU can provide phantom power to channels 1-4 together, but phantom power cannot be toggled on/off for an individual channel. This would not pose a hazard to most dynamic microphones, although with vintage or ribbon mics you would want to be cautious.

Q: 3. Can I bring the program feed from this mixer into Zoom or other similar software directly via the USB port on the mixer?

A: Yes, the Yamaha MG10XU can send a 2-channel mix out to a computer via USB.

Q: 4. Hi what is the power adapter you supply for this one - is it universal? (We need 220-240)

A: The power supply included with this product is not universal. Compatible with 120 VAC only.

Q: 5. How to connect this mixer to a subwoofer?

A: If the subwoofer has a Left / Right input and output, you would go from the Yamaha MG10XU Left / Right main out - into the subwoofer - out from the subwoofer to the Left and Right top speakers. Alternatively, if the subwoofer does not allow you to send the signal out, and the speaker has a line/mix output, you can connect that to the subwoofer.

Q: 6. Can You Record While Playing live On To A Recorder?

A: Yes, you can connect the output from the Yamaha MG10XU Mixer to an audio recorder to record a live performance. You can also record directly to a Mac or Windows computer, or to an iPad using the mixer's built-in USB audio interface.

Q: 7. In which country is the Yamaha MG10XU made, the one in your store is made in China? Made in Malaysia ?

A: The Yamaha MG10XU 10-Input Mixer with Built-In FX and 2-In/2-Out USB Interface is made in Malaysia.

Q: 8. I have an sm57 with very low output. Will this be enough to drive it? The 2i2, m-track and ur22 were not. Thanks.

A: The Yamaha MG10XU should work fine with an SM 57. Its hard to tell as I cant see how you have hooked things up and what is going on. But you should have no problem with that mixer and the 57. The first thing to check is phantom power off as that is a dynamic mic. The next thing to do is bring up the mic pre level to almost 12 oclock. Before you even touch the fader. Its the white knob that says gain. Make sure the switch is in mic and not line and the 20-dB pad is not engaged. Also make sure the main volume on the mixer is up.

Q: 9. Is this an analog or digital mixer?

A: Analog

Q: 10. Hi can i connect 4 speakers and a subwoofer I'm going to buy it for my son he has a pair alto TS-415 that he bought here a pair qsc

A: Yes, it is possible to connect 4 speakers and a subwoofer to the Yamaha MG10XU 10-Input Mixer. The Alto Professional TS415 Active Loudspeakers can connect directly to the mixer, and as long as the subwoofer and the QSC speakers are also active (powered) speakers, they can also connect directly or be linked together.

[22.9 W] We use this for live sports webcasts and it offers very good sound, especially when you learn how to properly balance volume, gain and compression. We use three headset mics plus a fourth input for a recording/playback device and run the audio out through the USB2 jack to our laptop.

[22.9 W] The mixer is very good with lots of features like Gain, Compression, EQ etc. onboard. Perfect for a small to medium gathering with 4-5 vocals, instruments, feed from phone and live streaming on internet. Love it!!!

24 FX modes are available, tried 1-2 of them. If you don't need the FX you can buy model MG10 for $40 less price.

[22.9 W] I paired this MG10XU with Sennheisers MKH-416 and the audio is truly amazing. Very small form factor makes this perfect for my small studio. Now as I grow, Ill be able to add more inputs. Its kind of like a Pelican case: buy a little bigger than you think you need.. youll grow into it. Super intuitive as well, only a few hours after unboxing I understood most of the controls. Perfect mixer for a newb!

[22.9 W] I am a dj but needed this mixer to control a mic and a piano, I had no issues with it. It was an open space and had about 400 attendees it did its job with no heating issues as some people had said.

[-83 dB] Works perfectly. The manual isn't the best but the product is excellent. Only thing really missing is an RCA stereo output which I hope they add in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.
