[Print] If was heavier than I expected, had some hard time installing it.
However it was definitely worth it! The print color is vivid and accurate.

[Print] I have been using a Pro-100 for four years with excellent results, except after a year or two some of my prints, especially black and white prints, began to fade and change color; so I started overspraying my prints with Premier Print Shield, which seemed to preserve the colors. However, the Pro-100 died with a B200 death code. I'd wanted to switch to a pigment printer anyway, so I purchased the Pro-300. After a dozen or so large prints (13x19 as well as 13x39) I find the results to be flawless. I print on Red River papers, using both their Palo Duro Baryta 300, and now mostly their Palo Duro Etching 315 Art Paper. Both have rolled effortlessly through the printer, although the 13 x 39 inch prints use up a fair amount of ink. I'm very happy with both the black and white as well as color results. One photo I printed from my recent trip to the Death Valley area had a large and dark shadow area in the foreground, but the print retains beautiful detail, inviting closeup inspection. I've attached this image.
I also want to add that I've had good experiences with Canon support, although my Pro-100 stopped working well before it's time.

[Color] I purchased my Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4600 from B&H, and the shipping was impressively fast and free. I strongly recommend disregarding the 1 star review if you’re serious about quality. After doing extensive research, I can confidently say that you won’t find a better value in this category of professional large-format printers.

[Yes] Had to replace an old Canon 8300 and decided to go with the updated smaller 24 inch model because of space constraints. Much has changed with new model to make things easier. Paper loading is easier for both cut sheet and rolls. It has more features to assure consistent color across media, monitors remaining roll length, allows viewing of print while it is printing which can reduce wasting paper if orientation or margins are set wrong. The Canon printing interface plugin has changed and includes more options so will require some time to learn. Overall, the product seems as robust as the 8300 it replaced with excellent color and enhanced usability features. The unit is delivered on a wooden skid in an amazingly engineered heavy duty cardboard container that eliminates the need for foam packaging.

[Inkjet] The Canon Pro 6600 replaces a 14 year old Epson 11880. The Canon 60 answers all the deficiencies of the Epson and raises the bar in each case. Looking at the range of choices available in current printer offerings, it becomes clear that Canon has pulled ahead with its wide format printer designs. The most dramatic improvements are as follows: 1. Onboard linearization of the print head for truly consistent color across devices and media. Taking into account wider color gamut and a greater D-max on the matt black ink, the Canon delivered an almost exact match with color from my 11880 following the initial linearization upon setup. With tuning of paper profiles the results only got better. 2. Vastly improved media handling with the ability to load and track length on two rolls of media simultaneously and the ability to switch between rolls and sheets without having back the roll media out of the paper feed. 3. Automatic media detection. After a paper type has been registered with the printer it is able to detect both size and surface. 4. Comprehensive media configuration software. Creating and tracking media profiles with the new Media Configuration Tool and printing with Professional Print and Layout delivers the control and performance associated with RIP software. 5. User replaceable print head (no more $3500 service calls). There are many other details that recommend the printer but those are most dramatic. The only flaw is the fussy fabric paper basket with too many setup options and awkward implementation. The solution on the 11880 was elegant and strait forward. That said, paper basket is literally the only misstep on the Canon Pro 6600.

[346 lb] Just ask Paris Hilton from the early aughts. Yes, we love this printer. Holy moly it's huge though. Might need a skid loader to move it.

[USB Port] I have had this printer for about a month and it works great. It is very stingy with ink yet makes great prints that are true to the colors seen on the computer monitor. I have had Canon 9000, Pro 10 and now this Pro 300. This is the best one yet.

B&H got the printer to me in two days and it worked great straight out of the box. No muss no fuss, just great prints.

[Yes] Overall, the printer is amazing. Setup was easy with the exception of setting the date and time.
The prints that have been produced are sharp and vibrant. Beautiful colors.
I read early reviews that suggested when the printer is first turned on and the printer runs through its initial setup, the ink levels become very low. Not the case. The ink levels were nearly full after the setup with my printer.

[Inkjet] I have been in the photographic industry for many years. The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 is the best I have owned. Beautiful wide gamut ink set. Definitely a professional printer, but easy enough to use by advanced amateurs.
