It reminds me of the milking stool my grandfather used. It's IMO meant to be for mobile situations (e.g. get up quickly and go, change positions) and for me it is a athletic challenge, but doable - however only when in the woods shooting photos. I'm not sure I want any witnesses to my getting out of the low position. I have the 18" stool. I'm 6' tall and weigh over 200 pounds. If you are buying a stool for a spectator application, then IMO you would want one that is comfortable in the high position. That position offers more stability against being jostled and your legs are readily available to help you recover.
