[Proprietary] I use to work with the Focus 101 and this is a slight upgrade to that. Very solid. I needed the ability to use with larger cameras when need so this is a great 100mm option

[Proprietary] Took a chance on these legs because of the weight capacity needed for a jib that we sometimes use (Seven Jib Compact XL). Never had legs without spreaders, so this was outside the box for me. So far these legs have been fantastic. The weight support is phenomenal and the number of ways you can contort the legs, thanks to no spreaders, makes them so much more versatile than other tripod legs. The icing on the cake is how short they collapse and how low to the ground you can get your shot. The cherry on top is how light they are with the carbon fiber. Used two of these on 4 week long shoots and so far they've exceed expectations.

[Aluminum] Best jib i have ever used. We beat this thing up and its built like a tank. Takes literally 3 min to assemble - maybe less.

[Aluminum] I took a risk that this would work with the L505 baby legs (the documentation is lacking). Works well, and is much faster than the older style of screw down spreader.

The weight is good, operationally solid, with nice, simple added features like backlit level, quick-closing strap thing.
Two things - one, the manual is lacking especially regarding spreader operation. Two, the spreader mechanisms feel like they might not stand up to work over time. But 5 year warranty.
Easy to compare to (Vitec) Sachtler and come out on top.
Flow tech is on everyone's list but it's 3-4x the cost.
And, being a little sentiment, I prefer family run cartoni over conglomerate Vitec (sachtler)

[Proprietary] Pan and tilts are butter-smooth. After properly balancing my camera, I do not feel any backlash at the end of a swipe. The continuous counterbalance system is amazing, which led me to choose Cartoni over the equivalent Sachtler or Miller. Frankly speaking, without continuous counterbalancing, perfect balancing is not achievable by any means. This fluid head is doing that effortlessly, even with the uncooperatively lightweight Black Magic Pocket. The only slight qualm i have is about the bubble level, which is located in a cavern where parallax error in reading is inevitable. On top of that, it gives me a feeling that its calibration is slightly off. But if you are married, this should not bother you at all!

[Aluminum] Cartoni makes some of the best heads out there. This new head is of good quality and doesn't break the bank.

[Aluminum] We ask a lot from our tri-pods and we have been very happy with Cartoni's products.

[Aluminum] If you want to spend 2x the cash then you can do a comparison with another brand. However, nothing comes close at this price point.


Cartoni's continuous counterbalance means you can dial in counterbalance exactly where you need it - no stepping past the sweet point.


The sticks have a super slick ring that lets you pick up the system with one hand and still close the legs enough to get through doors.
