A: Kipon does not mention any restrictions about which lenses are compatible. But they cannot test all lenses either since they Contax G lenses have not been made in many years.

Q: 7. I’ve read Contax G system’s AF would always return the focus to it starting position. Is this the case with this adapter? I mean, is there a spring in the lens that returns the focus back or once this adapter is used the lens becomes a manual lens like Leica for example? Also, does it have a hard stop at infinity or one can focus past it?

A: This adapter is a manual only adapter. Focus has to be set manually.

[Leica M] Use this adapter with my Zeiss C/Y 35-70 zoom and it works perfect on my Leica SL. The adapter is a snug fit, not too tight, definitely not loose. Seems very well made and fits perfectly, it's a keeper. 5

[0.275 lb] Adapter works perfectly, no play on my S1 and lens with a wireless focus pull system. You do need to get used to mount the lenses this way but with practice it becomes easy and fast. Great product. 5

[Leica M] I have tried some of the cheap lens adapters out there and while I have gotten by with them in the past they seems less precise and /or loosen up over time. This Novoflex for my Contax Zeiss primes I am using on the Panasonic S1 and S1H work perfectly! 5

[Leica M] Very right build. So tight, it can be hard to remove the lens once attached and tightened. A good thing. 10/10, would buy again. 5

[0.275 lb] Using this to mount 3 Zeiss lenses from an old Contax. Using Live View to focus is a bit slow, but my images on the M-P are very sharp. 25, 50 and 135mm lenses are a nice addition to the 35mm M mount Zeiss lens I bought originally. 5

[Leica M] I'm a big fan of the old Contax Zeiss 50mm and using this lens with the Metabones adapter on the S1H is a dream. Great images, tight fit. The Contax lenses take a little getting used to in terms of the mount, but it can be done. Highly recommended if you like the look of vintage lenses. 5

[0.275 lb] Loved the contax look on the SL but always hated adapters because of the play and size. This adapter is slim, rock solid and has no play. It feels like it's apart of the camera. It's worth all the money. 5
