The Echorec 2 (in Italian, Echorec 2º meaning The Second Echorec) was one of a line of famous magnetic drum delays designed and built by Binson Amplificatori Hi-Fi S. p. A. since the 1950s. The Echorec 2 was released in 1960, and is considered by many to be the best-sounding in the line. It had unprecedented quality compared to the tape delays of the era, with a warm and musical sound due to the distinctive character of its Class-A triode tube design.

Although the Echorec 2 was incredible for many reasons, the inspiration for PSP BinAmp came from the ingenious design and wonderful sound of its preamplifier. A: It depends on the mic you are using. if your mic needs phantom power (condenser) then get the fethead phantom. If the mic does not need phantom power (dynamic) get the regular.

A: The specs for the ART Precision Phono Preamp show a different maximum gain level rating for MC (Moving Coil) and MM (Moving Magnet) cartridges: 43 dB (MM) and 63 dB (MC). There is a switch on the front panel to select the input type and choose the cartridge style you will be using. You would then adjust the Gain Trim control and set it so that the Clip LED light stays green and only peaks occasionally as red. The actual gain levels will vary depending on the cartridge that is used and its specific output level.

A: It will, and yes.. turntable to preamp, preamp to integrated amp. This pre-amp does not have a ground, though, so either your turntable has to have an internal ground, so do, or you will need to ground it to your amp.
