[0.28 lb] Bought these to use with various cameras to get an anamorphic feel. I really like the look. They aren’t super sharp but fairly well built for the price, have a nice character and actually give a cinematic look. Maybe not 2 x character but for the price I love them.

[0.28 lb] When I saw the many video reviews and demos of the Remus Lenses and the price for a set, I knew that they were going to be my first venture into anamorphic lenses.

Although it took almost 3 months to get the set, it was well worth the wait. I recommend this model, for it's budget and it's quality build. It's really amazing.

[Aluminum] I’ve had many of the affordable anamorphics that are out. They were all disappointing with their pinstripe flares. Pincushion distortion, and otherwise forgettable image.

These are not that! These have the character that one looks for in more expensive lenses like the Atlas Mercury’s. And in my experience with both, the Mercury’s and now owning the Remus’ I cannot imagine spending 10x the amount for the Atlas Mercury lenses when these exist.

These were one of the best and most surprising purchases I’ve ever made.

It’s clear that China is not messing around and are coming for blood, because these are killer!

[Black] image rendered so great. with Bmcc6k full frame camera has a bit vignette, but if scale up the clip like 1.1x in davinci resolve can get rid of vignette.and I can live with that. With sigma MC-21 adapter is enoght tight to not worry abot it.

[Aluminum] Blazar nailed this and no its not a perfect lens... but for under a grand ITS INSANE that a TINY and LIght-weight anamorphic getting you that old panavision c-d series aesthetic but you can actually own these. Are they 2x no obviously not - My Gemini is 30x18mm (rounded) and on 4 perf S35 ie larger S35 chips like my Red Gemini this Lens is a DREAM... Its definitely soft wide open as most vintage anamorphics are and has some CA and flaws but they are very organic... and although the squeeze isnt 2x the Bokeh are CLEARLY oval and the blue streaks (got the blue streak PL ) are great... I always think you need to see how SMALL they are to believe it I dont need a support on My Gemini or when using the FF on my Eos r5. I cant wait for rest have 100 and Hoping the 85 comes soon and then the 33mm FF But this one is a must if you can only buy one.

[3.03" / 77 mm] First off. These have to be one of the best budget anamorphics you can get your hands on as of early 2024.

My only small grip is the inconsistent squeeze factor on the 50mm. If you know that it's easy to compensate in post but I would feel a little weary handing off footage from the 50mm lens.

As for the 35mm, I really love how large the FOV is. On the flip side you have to get a subject very close to really feel the anamorphic stuff but outside of that is a very useful focal length

As an owner op these are WELL worth your money

[Aluminum] This is a great, well built adapter for anyone wanting to experiment with anamorphic filmmaking and not spend a ton of money on multiple lenses.

[0.28 lb] I own all the Sirui 1.33 series anamorphic’s in Sony E mount (24,35,50,75mm APSC) and was looking for a commensurate solution for my Blackmagic pocket 6K Pro. Not only does the adapter work perfectly with my adapted vintage Nikon glass (28, 35, 50, 85mm AI-S series) but also works perfectly from 24-35mm on the amazing Sigma 18-35, and from 70-135 on the super sharp Canon 70-200. A very cost effective solution with impressive results.

[Black] My background, goes so far back that I have scavenge projector parts to make anamorphic lenses. Needless to say the retail price of some of the so-called anamorphic lenses that are available commercially lack of performance to justify the price, and the same is even more true with the budget anamorphic lenses. That being said, Iwas fully expected being burned by what looks a glorified squeeze diopter, and I am pleasantly surprised to wrong in this case. I was wrong to avoid purchasing this earlier.

I’m just like everybody els, I get bored and I try to curb my gear acquisition syndrome by reading, watching, and generally consuming reviews. Well, the reviews on this are mixed I don’t think they’re justified. Unfortunately, we live in a world where the people review things, aren’t professionally alined enough to do that reviews, yhey are lacking experience necessary to fully understand how to utilize the equipment that they are sometimes unjustly massacring in reputation. That being said, this lens, and that’s what it is, is only limited by its use.

I just received my copy four hours ago. And before throwing it on the camera, I light tested, color tested and prism tested it, I gave it better scrutinization that I would and irregular mole. It’s mechanically and optically sound.

Before even attaching it to a taking lens I knew this was a gem. I’m not a salesman, but I would advise people to actively avoid the reviews, there’s not a lot of experienced reviewer’s that are truly worthy of judging the performance of a piece of glass like this. I they don’t really respect the basement art of this field of vie, in the first place. This piece of kit can only be as good as its host equipment, the operator and the application. That being said, this adapter could easily, and I mean “easily” be adapted into an amazing lens of its own with very little effort.

Long-winded sleepy rant /review over, the bottom line is I have a feeling these will be sought after soon

[Aluminum] I am not really able to compare it to the others in the set yet… but it’s a safe bet this is the weakest of the 4 or 3if FF only. Partially just from to the focal length not conveying the look as strong as the wider lenses but also it really works best stopped down a tad…as it’s rather soft wide open. However I am def still very impressed by the overall quality and quality of these… they don’t feel cheap just small … shockingly small. The 100mm in PL is smaller than my RF 50mm f1.2! Impressed by this but it comes at the cost of some obvious chromatic aberrations… still for the money this is great and 1.5x may seem to enough squeeze the bokeh and flares look very anamorphic to my eyes shockingly so.
If you order just one maybe the 45mm 65mm or if your on smaller than 17mm high S35 sensors… get the 35mm . This lens great but don’t make it your only option.
