[Mic Clip] These were able to handle heavier mics than I expected. Quick & easy for my mobile table setup without carrying heavy tabletop bases around.

[Mic Clip] Very well-built! Very limited plastic parts but otherwise solid metal structure coursing through its veins.

I can't see it having any durability issues.

Highly recommended!

[Mic Clip] This is very sturdy and it will hold your mic. I was going to use it for my Neumann U87 but it might be too heavy after a while, but Guess what? I paid less than $25 bucks for this. If you complain about this product, you are probably having a bad day, Peace

[4.92 lb] The Auray MSGN-17 is the perfect stand to use either as a desktop or even as a way to capture the audio from church readers at a wedding for wedding cinematography, which i’m going to use it for it as well. Its gooseneck blends in just like the ones that they use in church podiums, plus, if i need extra height, this stand allows. I got the 18” version for that reason I just described above.

This stand is also great for capturing audio from dance recitals, you know, the foot tapping noise from the dancers which can be placed right on stage at its lowest setting when needed.

I also have pictures with this review if you want to take a look. Requires full Desktop browser.

The bottom base is nice and heavy and will not scratch your expensive furniture as it has a soft padding at the bottom. It also prevents unwanted vibrations transmitted to the mic, especially on Stage.

The mic holder also comes with a 3/8” adapter if you don’t need to use the standard 5/8 traditional mic stand thread. The stand itself without the mic holder is a 3/8” thread, which allows you to screw in anything you want, not just a mic. Anything that accepts a 3/8” thread.

The entire stand is made of metal except the mic holder, which is expected to be made of plastic for flexing and fitting various types of mics.

Pretty happy with this stand.

[Mic Clip] This stand is built very well. The base has nice weight to it. It's listed as a 3.3lb base, and having that weight is stress. It can hold a mic without any fear. In fact, you could probably use it to hold light, ring light, camera or other accessories if you choose. It comes with 3/8-16 threaded post with 5/8-27 adapter, so it can accept a variety of mounts. The base comes with little rubber feet on the bottom so it sits firmly on the desk and will not cause scratching. The tilt lock works well. When tightened down it feels very secure. I plan on getting a nice VO mic for it, but in the meantime, I just mounted a handheld mic and it has been working out great. I can position the mic right where I want it and having the ability to telescope the arm to my desired height is appreciated. The twist lock on the height adjustment works well too, it does not slip at all. This is a great stand and is working perfectly for me. It is well built and looks great on my desk. I'm very happy with it. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[Desktop Stand] I use the Auray MS-1218T desktop stand to hold my Electro-Voice mic for voiceovers and general meetings.

The stand has a heavy base that allows me to use this stand with a wide variety of microphones. The arm telescopes out if you need it up to 18 inches so it's pretty easy to position it in whatever way you need it to.

It's built well and should hold up over time. It's perfect for what I need it to do.

[Black] Prior to getting the Auray Telescoping Boom Arm I was using a little tripod mic stand that I would pull out and put away every time I wanted to use my mic with my computer. It worked, but was clunky and in the way most of the time.

This arm gets the stand off my desk and makes it quick and easy to use my mic on calls or for recording sound. I LOVE this. I should have done this setup a long time ago.

It feels secure attached to my desk and slides out into place in a matter of seconds. Because it slides out almost 32 inches I can tuck the clamp on the side of my desk and it stays out of the way until use.

Overall this is a no brainer and I wish I have would have went with this setup awhile ago.

[Black] The Auray MSGN-6 Desktop Gooseneck Mic Stand is great for desktop use, or any other flat, stable surface of any finish. It also has a die cast heavy base and features padding under so it won’t scratch your furniture.

Upon unboxing and setting it up for the first time (most people don’t know) the gooseneck piece, as you try to bent it for the first time, especially the super short ones, this one being just 6”, you will hear a cracking noise as you bend it. It’s almost like a chiropractor adjusting your spine...This is normal and only happens ONCE. After that, you can adjust it to any position and silently.

The gooseneck top accepts anything 3/8” you might want to install. Can be any other mic holder you like, other than the included mic holder to accommodate a variety of mics, wide and narrow such as USB mics, any mic, including short shot gun mics, or even a digital recorder or whatever else that is no heavier than a standard mic that has a 3/8 thread or mount.

Another great thing about it, when you screw in the gooseneck piece and the mic holder that comes with it, it stops threading exactly where it should. Perfectly aligned and straight, not slightly off sideways, ready for the mic.

What else could I say? It’s an all metal piece, holds your mic well, its flexible, adjustable and doesn’t take a lot of space on your desk.
Pretty nice stand!

[Mic Clip] The Auray MS-DTCL-32 is a fantastic mic stand for voiceover work in my small home office/studio. The table clamp mount is strong and keeps my microphone secure. I've had this type of desk mount wobble on me in the past but the Auray model keeps my gear very stable. The build quality is solid and the boom extension is nice and smooth. I connected this to a MJE-modded Hulk 990 and instantly found excellent results when dialing in the placement with the adjustable tilt. Couldn't ask for more!
