Q: 1. What processor does it have?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UNVR-PRO UniFi Protect NVR Pro (No HDD), B&H # UBUNVRPRO, processor is not specified.

Q: 2. How does this compare to the dream machine pro se?

A: The UXG-PRO is primarily a security gateway router, while the Dream Machine Pro is a network control console which also has security gateway functionality. The UXG-PRO would be most ideal for customers who need a robust security gateway without the extra features and functions of the UDM Pro, and is more suited for integration into networks which already have a control/network management solution in place.

[Plastic] Use two of these in my pole barn to power some POE cameras and AP's. Works great!

[Internal] So glad we made the upgrade to ubiquiti.

[30 W] Great solution for a 1 in, 4 out PoE switch. Works great and doesn’t get too warm. Mountable too. We’re very happy with this product.

[120 W] Does exactly what it says. I send PoE+ in, and then use a PoE out port to power an access point.

[59.52 Mpps] I purchased this switch to supply connectivity to an AP and 3 - IP security cameras in a detached garage. This 5 port switch is outdoor in its temp handling range. However it does need to be installed in a weatherproof enclosure or inside a building (with or without climate control.) It DOES NOT have stand alone power, but instead supplies POE power tto itself and downstream devices by being powered by POE into port 1. This means you need to power this with a POE switch or POE injector upstream. It can be powered by 802.3af or at POE, but for any practical install (meaning powering devices downstream of the switch) it needs fed with a 60W 802.3bt POE supply. I'm using a TP-Link 60W POE injector and this works without issue.

The switch itself is a full feature Unifi switch. Configured and controlled via a Unifi controller (Cloud Key) it can be setup by a user with intermediate knowledge of networking. Ports feature full VLAN support and control.

For my use case, I needed to power an access point and 3 wired cameras. The FLEX is tailor made for this. Port 1 is power in an a trunk port. Port 2 is a second trunk feeding and powering a Unifi 6 Pro AP. Ports 3, 4, and 5 are set to a camera VLAN as well as supplying power. It does get warm to the touch. It passes full line rate speeds.

For those already in the Unifi ecosystem and in need of switch for hi/low temp environments, this switch is a good option. I'll update if anything changes or if there are any issues.

[Yes] PoE+ is a wonderful thing, and most devices that run off of it don't even stress it. So what happens when you want to deploy multiple PoE+ devices in one location, that's kind of remote and annoying to get to? You get this guy. 5 port gigabit switch, runs off the PoE+ provided by the upstream infrastructure, and shares the power to the other 4 ports.

Currently have it handling 3 IP cameras off one single trunk physically distant from the rest of the network. No brainer with other UniFi hardware.

[Passive] I like the products from UniFi very much. This little switch, however, is a gem. I don't think other brands offer such small switches powered by POE, that can actually pass on POE and are managed.

Set up is extremely easy and it's basically set up, and forget.

[59.52 Mpps] Used this switch in an outdoor location. This PoE powered switch makes it so convenient to run just one ethernet cable for both power and data.

[5.915 lb] Using my USW-16-150W switch to give the USW-Flex 20W budget for POE and using the other 4 ports for Dahua cameras (non PTZ) and UAP-AC Pro access point. Still has some overhead power available. Does get hot, so will see if that shortens the life any in the garage. Has a metal back plate for mounting, which may help some with the heat.
