Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could this conversion lens be stacked on the Fuji x100vi wide angle conversion lens or would it degrade image quality too much?

A: It would not be recommended to double stack conversion lenses such as the Raynox HD-7049PRO Wide-Angle Conversion Lens 0.7X (49mm) on the Fujifilm X100VI. The Raynox is primarily designed for use on camcorders.

Q: 2. Will this lens hood produce any vignetting at 24mm when used on a Canon 24-105 RF f4 lens?

A: No, this lens hood is designed for wider lenses like 16mm. 24mm wouldn't even notice it so this should be good for your lens.

Q: 3. What lens could I use these macro lens kit filter with? I have a Nikon 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, and a Tampon 35mm 1.4 lens. Would this macro lens kit fit any of these lenses above?

A: All three of the mentioned lenses have a different filter size, so this Vivitar 49mm Close up Macro Lens Kit would not fit directly on them. What you can do is purchase the Vivitar 72mm Close Up Macro Lens Kit, BH # VICUFK72 for the Tamron 35mm f/1.4 and purchase a Sensei 58-72mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring, BH # SESUR5872 for the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 as well as a Sensei 67-72mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring, BH # SESUR6772 for the Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens in order to use the same close up filters on all the lenses. https://bhpho.to/3yfSzed https://bhpho.to/3OKlo9M https://bhpho.to/3OKB0tL

Q: 4. Does this hood have internal threads for a lens cap or filters? Thanks!

A: Yes, it does have threading for mounting a filter or lens cap to its front.

Q: 5. Can this lens fit on a Mamiya C330?

A: The 55mm, 80mm and 135mm lenses for the Mamiya C330 have a 46mm filter thread. So by using the Sensei 46-52mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring you could attach the Vivitar 52mm 0.43x Wide Angle Attachment Lens. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/347Fgkw

Q: 6. Does it fit on a Sony RX 100 VII camera (having on it the lens adaptor with 52 mm mount) ?

A: This add-on lens would fit any 52mm filter thread.

Q: 7. Does this look like a fish eye lens with the image curving inwards?

A: No, there is some distortion but not nearly as much as a fish eye.

Q: 8. Will this fit on a canon ae-1?

A: As long as the lens has 58mm threads on its front it will work. Otherwise works as specified, it will provide a wider field of view. Received in normal delivery time. (not a macro function)

Q: 9. Will it work with Canon RF 16mm f2.8?

A: The Raynox HD-7049PRO Wide-Angle Conversion Lens 0.7X (49mm) won't direct thread directly onto the 43mm filter thread on the Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM Lens. Consider adding the Sensei 43-49mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring to interface the two products together. See the link below: https://bhpho.to/3NCHDAo

Q: 10. If I use these on an EF 50mm f1.8 on a APS crop sensor what would be the effective magnifications?

A: Using the 10x in the Vivitar 49mm Close Up Macro Lens Kit the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens would be magnification of 0.82x. Stacking all of the filters in the kit the lens would have a magnification of around 1.24X.

[0.43x] No vignetting!

While I do like the hood that comes with the camera, it is extremely difficult to remove and even harder to replace and line up....thus the sensei hood.

I can confirm this sensei along with a single filter works on the Q2.

[49 mm] Well made, and perfect for an old lens needing a hood.

[0.43x] I bought this for the 35mm lens I use on my old Pentax Spotmatic. There's not much to say except that it does what it's supposed to and that it seems well made. I prefer using a metal hood instead of the more commonly available collapsible kind, and the non-bayonet style means I don't have to worry about accidental vignettes happening with incorrect positioning of the hood. I haven't tried it with my 24 or 28 but it works perfectly with my 35mm lens.

[49 mm] Its a freaking lens hood. Theyve been around forever so theres really not much to say here. It does its job and feels solid.

[0.43x] These Sensei aluminum lens hoods are really well made for the money. They are a great value and feel very sturdy. I had no issues with threading the hood on and off the lens. Feels like a precision made product. This is my third lens hood from them but my first wide angle hood. Does the job perfectly for reducing lens flare. I highly recommend going for one of these.

[0.43x] I bought this primarily to reduce flare in a vintage Super Takumar 28mm lens, but also to protect the front element in case of an accidental drop. I didn't know where to go for an original hood (if it ever existed), but fortunately Sensei makes a quality hood that fits a standard filter thread. Before you buy, make sure that you get the correct hood for your focal length -- this one is for wider lenses to prevent vignetting but they have other models for longer focal lengths. Not only is this a solid metal hood, but when I screwed it on, I was amazed how perfectly it fit the lens thread; a quick flick of the wrist and it just spun in place by itself, yet once on tight it's not likely to come off accidentally, and it's easy to remove. If you've got vintage lenses, especially if they're not multicoated and prone to flaring, this is a good investment.

[49 mm] Good quality hood for a fair price. Flair and bump protection for my Zeiss lens. Glad I didn’t spend more for a Sony or Zeiss product.

[49 mm] Its a metal lens hood that screws onto your filter thread. Theres not much to review here as it isnt rocket science. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.

[49 mm] If you're looking for a smaller hood than the standard inbox hood (for sony) this is it. I no longer have to keep the hood attached and can also leave my caps at home.
