[9.24 lb] I have plans to record and try to sell audio plays for radio. I'm in a 1 bedroom apartment and for the time being it has to be my studio. This allows me to record my voice tracks without ambient interference.

[9.24 lb] I used this in conjunction with moving blankets on backdrop stands on each side of me and behind me. I was very pleased that there was NO room reverberation in a small room that I have been using for VoiceOver work. I used it with a small desktop microphone stand. I had to use supplemental weights on the baseplate of the desktop mike stand to ensure stability. I placed spare pieces of foam across the top of the Auray unit and on the surface of the desk I was using for additional reflection mitigation.

[9.24 lb] Wow! Just wow! I bought my Aston Spirit, reaching out from AKG, Blue, and Neumann, to a new mic brand after such outpouring love in reviews of the Aston Origin. I needed a multi-pattern mic that was versatile. The box seems inexpensive and it did require a separate shockmount. (It has one built-in but it mounts the mic directly to the stand. Not terrible but not versatile.) The Spirit was amazing for male and female vocals of alternative, pop, classical, and operatic vocals. I tracked my acoustic guitar and it was astounding, as well as for my violin and cello. I would say this could stand up to most upper echelon mics in versatility and clarity. Even as a room mic the Spirit sounded stellar! It was perfect for small room recording, large space studio, ambient sound recording, and close-up instrumental recording. I love using the Spirit. It is truly a favorite of mine as microphones go.

[Plastic] for the large-diameter mics that are also quite heavy, this shock mount works great.

[9.24 lb] These mics are amazing on just about anything but truly excel as drum over heads (ORTF, Glyn Johns or spaced pair.) They punch well above their weight and compare favorably with many mics over $1000 - Neumann, AKG, etc. Crazy value for money. Get a pair and you won't be disappointed!

[Plastic] This microphone is incredible. I have many more expensive large diaphragm condensers that I haven't touched since buying this from B&H. Also, it looks awesome, and gets plenty of compliments in my studio. It's crazy to be able to compare a $250 microphone to others that cost 10 times more - but you can with the Aston Origin!

[Foam] The idea behind the swift is pretty awesome: make it just as easy to swap mics as it is to swap headphones, chairs, or music; just grab the two little tabs on the side and pop the mic in.

I got a pair of these to replace the absolutely horrendous shock mounts that came with a pair of WA-47jrs, and they fit perfectly. They fit most other similarly-sized LDCs, like Astons own Spirit and Origin, as well as a few less-predictable ones like WA-14s and other 414-like mics. They grab onto mics well and hold them even when shaken or bumped into, and the shock dissipation seems really effective so far- they even shipped extra pieces for when the shock band wears out (not to mention Aston support has been outstanding every time I need to talk to them, which is thankfully very seldom).

The only issue Ive had so far is that some particularly heavy, smooth mics will tend to slide down in the grip slowly. I think maybe if you put a rubber band around the mic right above the grip arms it should stay put, so long as you dont mind the look of that.

I also wish they made an XL size for tube mics, but it would definitely need to have a bit stronger springs/retention mechanism in it since those are considerably heavier. A smaller version for SDCs and shotgun mics would also be nice.
